Anyone know if there is any place that sells them? You can get them all over the place in Houston but out here

I never even heard of them until I left El Paso. You're probably out of luck.

hmmm...I know that Shipleys donuts sold them back in SA...but no store in El Paso. Maybe International Bakery & Deli has them? International Bakery & Deli, El Paso, TX If not, then I see a prime opportunity for somebody to introduce El Pasoans to the famous kolache

Good luck. I can't even find a decent bagel in El Paso but International Bakery does come close. There's also a new bakery in the Saver's plaza just down the road on Mesa.

The Southern Maid Donut shop on Vista Del Sol (near Lee Trevino) makes them. At least they did 5 years ago. When I was working at CompUSA, we had a manager who came from Houston and was wanting them and found this place.

I think Krispy Kreme has a version of it.

DING DING DING, but these are no Houston Kolaches and they seem to only make a few at a time. I've went there 10 times and 8 of those times they were out.

And they wrap them in foil and they're tiny, weird.

You can get great bagels at Hello Pizza, which is located about 2 miles south of I-10 on Mesa. Call before hand because they go quick. The owner is from New York, or that area anyway, and gets a lot of his ingredients shipped from there. It is a drive for me, living in far east El Paso, but I am bagel deprived since moving to the area as well.
