The old Circuit City at Sunland would be great for a mega Hooters, theme restaurant, or entertainment center.
The old Circuit City location has a "Michaels .. opening soon" sign outside. No more trips out to George Dieter.

Yes, what El Paso needs is more chain crap that steals what little money the city has and funnels it back to HQ on the coasts.

Not suprised. Last visit to EP went there with my kids and it was a S**T hole. Nasty food, Nasty-er restrooms, horrible service.

Default Yeah, but...

I figure Michael's to be a pretty large employer out here. Those stores are pretty large. And the folks who work there, aren't they spendng in the local economy? They may be a chain, but they are providing employment and economic contribution back into the community. And I haven't noticed many El Pasoans turning their backs on ANY of the new chain businesses on the West Side and several have opened up in recent months.

That's too bad, went there for breakfast a few months ago, was good enough. Seems to be a crappy location.

Oh yeah ... the waitress was kinda hot, that's why I left a big tip.

Texas Wing LLC, franchisee of all Hooters in Texas has no plans to build a second location in El Paso, Texas any time soon. In the past they had the opportunity to expand the Sunmount location, but chose not to at the time, which was a bad business decision. They looked into building a location on the far east side and decided to not build one and the west side is just out of the question. The west side, in my opinion, is very particular and only certain restaurant concepts will survive.
