well i know the democrat party during the time of reconstruction their slogan was ''THIS IS A WHITE MANS COUNTRY''. maybe you brainwashed folks need to know the leaders in the democrat party really only view you as their property. come on folks bust out of the modern day plantation and dump the democrats for good. research the history of the democrat party and you will be shocked and then do the same for the republican party and you will be surprised

Politicians themselves will typically remain loyal to the party for fear of being labeled a "flip flop". Voting bases change. Look who votes Dem today (every race in America) and Rep (whites and pretty much exclusively whites).

You really want to tell me the party that garners votes from all sorts of minorities today is the philosophically same party that was the party of the 1860s?

Today's right is also the same crowd that has a substantial sect that denounces Civil Rights and harbors racists like David Duke. Sounds more like the Dems of the 1860's to me than does any other current party.
