This is funny. Not even Bubba can get them fired up.

Former President Bill Clinton’s ‘get out the vote’ rally for Democrats at a downtown Chicago hotel was the most unenthusiastic WLS veteran political reporter Bill Cameron has ever witnessed.

Clinton was an hour late for the Tuesday afternoon rally at the Palmer House and droned on for another hour, sending dozens of the few hundred Democrats in attendance for the exits.
In the belly of the beast and that's the best they could do for Bubba?

What's funny is he was an hour late. All through his presidency he was late for everything, wasn't he? Well, I guess when you are the ex-president people feel they don't have to put up with you being late anymore.

We don't need Bush. On the other side of the coin, obama is toxic.

When Clinton fails to excite, trouble looms for state Dems | detnews.com | The Detroit News (http://www.detnews.com/article/20101027/OPINION03/10270312/1008/OPINION01/When-Clinton-fails-to-excite--trouble-looms-for-state-Dems - broken link)

One can only imagine the outrage of the former president after walking into a high school auditorium that was supposed to be full of adoring fans and seeing fewer than 1,000 people in the seats.

Clinton was speaking in Detroit, which is supposedly his and the Democrats' core and doing so in Michigan, aka Unionville, U.S.A. Liberals don't get that kind of two-fer very often.
Bad news indeed and very telling.

Ex presidents should be more distinguished than to enter into the political fray of a mid term election. If the current Administraion requires a previous Administration to do what it can't get done, then the current Administration is likely finished with the voters.

Can you just picture this? I threw up a little in my mouth.

Clinton showed up at a campaign rally for Democratic Congressman Tim Bishop today at Stony Brook University on Long Island. Only about 2,000 came (the stadium was half empty) and people were leaving in droves within 5 minutes of Clinton starting to speak.

I guess Clinton lost his mojo in more then one sense ....
