I am not questioning the legitimacy of Scotts election. My post suggest disgust at Floridas inability to conduct an election without massive problems.
In 2004 it was the famous chads issue on voter cards----in 2000 the monumental problems in Palm Beach County creating chaos in the election-----and now Tuesday nights disaster in Palm Beach County again caused nightmares.
Again, please read the post carefully-------if you live here in Florida you know what I mean about Floridas elections process and the annual problems.
And my response were to your second and third paragraphs referencing Scott. I never suggested you were questioning his legitimacy. However others were based on the reasoning in your comments about Scott.
I think what you meant was "This is how he answered questions in THIS desposition." And there was a reason his lawyer advised him to do that. But you aren't interested in facts, are you? You just want to stain Scott with the SUGGESTION that he committed some sort of fraud. Can you find any facts to actually back up that suggestion?

HIS board of directors threw Rick Scott out of CEO position of HIS company. This information was out there years before the thought of running for any office crossed Rick Scott's mind. It was and is the hugest scam of fraud to overbill the government in US history, and continues to outrage residents of Florida who recall when the original news broke of the scandal. Because most Floridians will not tolerate this Medicare/Medicaid fraud in the Florida governor's mansion. We have heard about him for years before he even thought of the gubernatorial race. If there are not statutory ways to oust him, there may be federal ways, including federal prison.

Companies incorporate to protect their officers and shareholders from personal liability for corporate misdeeds. While a corporation -an entity- may be found guilty of criminal acts, one can't very well put an entity in prison. Therefore, the corporation gets a monetary punishment -a fine.
The only way to get to the corporate officers to prosecute them for their part in the corporate misdeeds is by the process of "piercing the corporate veil," which can be very difficult and usually only happens when there is a very serious offense like fraud. (and this was a case of fraud)
The corporation pled guilty. Taking the plea bargain stopped the investigation and prevented the court from piercing the corporate veil and prosecuting Scott and the other officers. So while you certainly can continue the "he wasn't charged" mantra, perhaps now you can understand why.

In no way does incorporation prevent one from criminal charges. Ken Lay, Jeff Skilling, Dennis Kozlowski......

Get over it already! Nobody really cares what you think of Rick Scott. He has been elected the Governor of Florida for the next 4 years DESPITE the fact that all your accusations were known to the public BEFORE the election. If you really are having this much difficulty in dealing with the election of someone you dont like....then perhaps California or N.Y. would be a better fit for your beliefs. Rick Scott isnt going anywhere and your anger at the election is just "beating a dead horse".
