And we lefties were all patiently waiting for your personal opinion on Palin's possible candidacy! Thanks for clearing that up for us! We can now all relax!

I agree. What we really need are a lot more anti-Obama threads! There are never enough of them on these boards.

Name any presidential candidate who didn't take a pay cut to become president?

Let's face it ... Palin doesn't have the slightest chance to win because she isn't smart enough to run a country, and she never will be smart enough.

All she knows how to do is be a "cheerleader" for the Right.

Last time I checked, we weren't losing 700,000 jobs a month like we were during Bush's final months in office!

If the Republican controlled government between 2002-2006 had properly regulated the real estate market when the housing bubble was growing, the economy would never have crashed in 2008.

When the Democrats took over Congress in Jan 2007, the damage was already done - thousands of bad mortgages had already been given out to non-qualified homeowners.

A fact? Why, because you say it is? Maybe you should re-visit the conditions the economy was in back in Sept 2008?

Stock market crashing.

Companies going bankrupt, and closing their business.

Banks failing.

700,000 people losing jobs each month.

And today ...

Stock market has risen 5,000 points from the March 2009 low of 6,500.

I'd say Obama did a great job of stopping the economic bleeding caused by Bush ... don't you?

However the damage created by Bush will take many years to fix. So get used to it. We knew this way back in Jan 2009 when Obama took office.

Third World Country? Dream on!

In just two short years, Obama managed to end the worst recession since the Great Depression, and he restored America back to a highly admired and respected world leader.

After the massive damage done to America during the 8 years of Bush .... that's a pretty incredible accomplishment for Obama!

Don't stereotype all tea partiers as insisting Palin to be the nominee. I am a TEA party conservative who thinks she would be a terrible candidate. She has been absolutlely destroyed by the MSM. Her negative poll ratings are far too high. She is damaged goods and is beyond repair. I like her personally but who cares? The stakes are far too high to risk having her as the nominee.

I care more about ideas than personalities. So I would like to see a GOP candidate emerge that is conservative but has no baggage. The most important thing to me is that the nominee isn't a big government Republican like Mike Huckabee. The MSM will push him very hard (like they did with McCain during the 08 primary) as a hedge bet. If Obama doesn't win the ruling elite could at least live with a fiscal liberal such as Huckabee.

I'm generally conservative but I have to say that this is ridiculous thinking. The country got steered into its present problems under recent Republican leadership.

Of grave concern is the fact that the Democrats did not change the overall tack taken by the last administration. We got painted into a corner from which there may be no realistic escape.

Huckabee appears to be somewhat well posed. His stance on the ME is attractive to the power elite. Romneys father got tossed when he opposed the Vietnam war. It is possible that Romney is also a closeted dove and will be similarly tossed .... like he was in 2008.

Lets be forthright. Modern presidents must expect to be up to their elbows in the blood of foreign nations. That is what this power elite does.....shock and privatize.

Right. Why should Palin run from making million$ on her TV and book deals, just to run for a rougher, less paying job as the president of the USA?

Always interesting to see the same people that whine on and on about the evils of big government and the evil socialists complain that the government is not getting them jobs and making their lives better. The word Hypocrite comes to mind.
