Barry Sotero, or what ever name he is using currently, has indeed accomplished a lot. Billions for Big Auto, Wallstreet, Unions, and Big Banks. For me, gas went from 1.47 to 3.67 within his two years and my grocery bill went from 45.00 per week to 91.00.

You betcha!

Great post and spot on!
Thank you! The GOP doesn't scare me. They're using the same fear tactics several white supremacists in South Africa used when apartheid ended and Nelson Mandela came into power. They didn't lose their white privilege or ability to vote, but they couldn't see that part. Barack Obama isn't Muslim, nor was he born abroad. Hawaii is not a small village in Kenya. Plus, he would've taken his holiday leave during Ramadan if he was Muslim. Take it from someone who majored in geography and minored in anthropology.

Surely, if he was born in Kenya, that would've been divulged by the FBI by now. After all, I served in the military, and everyone needed proof that I was born in America before I joined. Now I'm certain if I had to show the recruiters my birth certificate, Barack Obama had to do the same. If I have to take my shoes off to go through the X-ray machines at the airport, I'm pretty sure the country's most powerful figure must go through extensive background checks. Not just anyone gets elected President, you know?

The conservatives are just trying to stipulate the fears of the ignorant because that's a lucrative business in our society. Just because he has a non-Anglo-Saxon name doesn't mean he isn't American. He didn't convert the country to Islam, and white people didn't lose their rights. If he wasn't Christian, that whole brouhaha about Jeremiah Wright wouldn't have made the headlines while he and McCain were campaigning. It'd be too obvious if they came out yelling the N-word, so they're being more surreptitious about it. A large majority of those Tea Baggers hate Obama anyway just because he's black though none of them have the gall to admit it.

The reason gas is expensive is because of what's going on in the Middle East right now. Because of that quagmire in Egypt, less ships are going through the Suez Canal. Not to mention the pirates in the Indian Ocean aren't helping matters, either. Let us not forget about Libya as well. Those are the main reasons why gas prices are high.

Watch the NEW Slick Barry slide to the center on many issues because he knows the MAJORITY of us are against anything radical anti American liberals like.

His compromise on this budget after NOT DEMANDING AND LEADING his own party to get a budget in place last year is amazing to see.

I called it two months ago. Barry is now becoming a conservative and screwing over all those nuts who voted for him.

Lead on Barry, your days are very numbered.

I know you are baiting me Orpheus, so how can you say the greatest country in the world is being held hostage by a few rubber boats off Somalia and a country that supplies about 5% of our oil.

Can Barry send an envoy to the House of Saud and say " this is how many barrels of oil we need per day and this is how much the US will pay you. Plus the US will igive you military protection for the right to sell us oil at this price".

That is the reason this economy will prosper.

Don't be surprised if he wins by a landslide. I'm 80-percent sure this next election will be a runaway victory for the Democrats.

Also, the conservatives can't find anyone who measures up. Mike Huckabee already stated he probably won't run. That man has too many skeletons in his closet, furthermore. The guy is an right-wing evangelical Christian for one thing. Plus, he pardoned a guy who killed several people in Arkansas, and he has a son who was ousted as a Boy Scout leader for torturing puppies. Those alone are wild cards that will disqualify him from the race. Sarah Palin will be lucky if she even makes it to the primary. I'm sure she'll run to massage her Alaska-sized ego, too. Not even John McCain stood a chance playing his veteran card, so I'm positive the same is true about the other Republicans.

Barack Obama's ratings are now higher than that of either Clinton or Reagan around this time frame during their first terms. What you're also forgetting is there are more black voters than ever before. They'll probably pour into the polls more so than they did in 2008. Myriad Hispanic voters are disenchanted with the Republican Party as well. Not to mention recent college graduates like yours truly are disgusted over the way Republicans haven't done a damn thing about unemployment and even wanted to slash benefits for the 99ers. They're the ones that gave tax cuts to big businesses.

I'm hoping when Scott Walker gets recalled which I'm sure he will, our friends in Wisconsin will spark the catalyst towards something big. His being ousted will leave a bad headline for the Republicans and cost many of them their seats. I'm half-expecting the Democrats will regain control of both houses again after this whole debacle Bush got us into. Unless something terrible happens, I see no way he WILL NOT get re-elected end of story.

Which US President was elected to a second term with an approval rating below 52%?

Presidential Approval Ratings History - Interactive Comparison Graph - WSJ.com

Reagan's approval rating declined to 40% then rebounded sharply. We haven't seen a similar rebound by Obama.

You spent a long time eulogizing the the GOP, yet the same GOP just enjoyed the largest mid-term seat change in decades. Remember the same Tea Party movement which helped elect a record number of Republican governors and state legislatures will continue to flip blue states like Wisconsin, Ohio and Michigan.

The only reason BO enjoys the support he does is because no one has yet provided an alternative. When that alternative presents itself, BO will have to explain why he should be given a second chance. And that is where he will lose the election since what he has done is indefensible from the a liberal point of view, a conservative point of view and an independent point of view. BO is the candidate everyone can find a reason to oppose and few will be able to find a reason to support.

Most sitting presidents look unbeatable at this point since the opposing party is busy battling over their party's nomination. When that is over, and only then, the campaign begins.

I think most everyone realizes this.

They had 2 years to pass a budget for 2011. Repubs couldn't stop them. Now they blame Repubs because they were too incompetent to do their own job. Pathetic.
Without 60 votes in the Senate, how did the rethuglicans not stop them?

He knows exactly what he's doing. The scary thing is, by his new "conservative" stance, he could hoodwink the Independents into voting for him in 2012, and then slide right back to the radical left for four years of his uber-liberal policies.

Of course the *PROGRESSIVES* hide this fact....

In 2003 Halliburton hired the firm to lobby Washington on behalf of its KBR Government Operations division, the same division being pummeled by the media, the Pentagon and Congress for its handling of Iraq contracts. Covington & Burling was paid $520,000 to handle "inquiries concerning company's construction and service contracts in Iraq," the firm said in a filing.

Eric Holders employer!!!!

I'm sorry to have to inform you, but Obama's name is and always has been Obama. You have been deceived by a manipulative propaganda campaign to prey on those who lack skills of critical analysis and/or who seek to have their fears validated. Here are the facts:

snopes.com: Obama's Occidental College Records / Meet the Soetoros

Your argument about gas and food prices betrays your prior argument, since the same thing happened under an entirely Republican-controlled government. Your attempt to draw a causal link between Obama's policies and those prices fails on that ground alone.
