I see it the other way. Voting Obama/Romney is throwing away a vote even more so because they're the same candidate in my eyes. They support the status quo. I already know that I don't like what's going on right now, I'd rather vote for a true change, not flip-flop stances and bigger government.

In 2012, Ron Paul is the only chance we have.

However, I'm convinced it will take either a much longer extended recession of our current one or a couple more, bigger, harder, economic crashes. Each crash has proven to be worse than the one before it, and you can bet on them occuring like clockwork every 15-20 years. It's only a matter of time until the nation can't handle it and the system collapses.

I'm voting for something real at least by writing in my vote. Voting any other way is throwing away your liberty and future.

what you are not seeing here is there are other candidates, you seem to think Romney is going to get the nomination, I happen to think he is not going to get it and I have seen people vote for a candidate (write in or independent) that does nothing but help the "other" party get elected, let's look at the Clinton/Bush election for starters.

The other party?? What other party? I see Repubocrats and Libertarians. I see welfare-warfare agendas vs individual liberties. You think of the republicans or democrats as "the other party", I see them as "the same party".

Romney will get the nomination because the media and the GOP wants to give it to him. He'll protect special interests and big business, while also trying to expand government and increase the deficit. He won't withdraw troops and he'll push for another war (Libya, Iran, Korea), just like Obama will if he's re-elected. There is no difference, niether will bring real change.

You can insert Pawlenty, Palin, Cain, anyone else other than Ron Paul. They will all do the same thing. Paul is the only one that is different and will do things differently. He states it clearly in his books and his voting record is impeccable. He never changes stances, not once.

So yeah, if Ron Paul doesn't get the GOP nomination, then it won't matter WHO you vote for after that, because you're voting for the same person, thus THROWING YOUR VOTE AWAY.

Get it?

Exactly. I think the public is getting sick of these republicans who promise one thing and then end up being just like the democrats before them. Ron Paul not only states his principles-- he lives by them.

He is one of only 2 members of congress who refuse to accept a government pension.

He has over 30 years of a consistent voting record in congress.

You can either vote for more of the same spending, wars, and waste-- or you can make the right choice and vote for the only honest candidate (Ron Paul).
