The new healthcare bill is nothing but a redistribution of wealth.

It may be early in the campaign season, but the Communist Party USA already has seen fit to endorse Barack Obama for the 2012 election.

In an article last week at People’s Weekly World, the official newspaper of the Communist Party USA, Sam Webb, chairman of the Communist Party USAW, discussed the need for a third party. However, Webb recognized that such a party is not likely to emerge by next year.

"Millions who have to be at the core of this party still operate under the umbrella of the Democratic Party, albeit increasingly in an independent fashion," he noted.

While Obama and the Democrats are not as anti-capitalist as he would like, he is comfortable enough with their actions to offer them support, especially in the light of the Republican threat.
I find this hilarious.

So the premise of this topic is, because the Communist party endorses Obama the op is trying to imply that therefore Obama must be a Communist?.
Some alternate reading for our op..

Remember what the original heal care reform bill looked like? Even the Democrats couldn't agree to vote for it.
Your understanding of what socialism and communism and Marxism actually are is so shallow and lacking in any amount of comprehension whatsoever, that I'm going to say that you're lying and never read the whole of either the Communist Manifesto nor Das Kapital. Your understanding is at best at the McNugget level: there's no substance to what you're saying.

In almost any other country, Obama would be considered a conservative. In the US, he could charitably be described as a center-right figure, but his negotiations over the debt ceiling leaned more and more rightward. It's hilarious to see people claiming that he wasn't willing to compromise when there was a grand bargain on the table that gave Boehner about 90% of what he wanted in the first place, only to be shut down by tea partiers who are on the very fringe of the extreme right.

I have to spread more rep around before giving it to you again, but I agree completely. If Kirdik read Das Kapital and still believes what they say they believe, it's even more pathetic, since it indicates either a complete lack of comprehension or a willful denial of Marx's main criticisms.

If Obama is a Marxist, he is one of the worst Marxists of all time. Maybe he's an accelerationist.

That is no surprise at all. That's how the left works. Capitalism is one of the big things that bunch is attacking right now, and yet, it's capitalism that's what has made America great. Dems side with Communists. They are angry, they hate America, and they resent any such idea of our great nation being a number one power. I disagree with that last point about Republicans being a threat. A threat to what???? Socialism???
