The Washington Post dug up two interesting items (1) Rick Perry has been actively courting investments in US and especially Texas by Chinese Telecoms manufacturer Huawei. Huawei has put its US HQ in Plano Texas and gets nice Tax breaks from the State of Texas. Huawei is poised to become a major player in the US Telecoms industry muscleing out US manufacturers. (2) Bain Capital the foundation of Mitt Romney's personal fortune is making major investments in Huawei and is actively marketing the Chinese firms switching equipment to firms like AT&T. Bain is arguing that AT&T should ignore security concerns about the integrating of Chinese made equipment and software into the US telecomunications system. Given that the issue of America's faltering economy is front and center in the upcoming election and a big issue is what role should China play in our future. Is the position of Rick Perry or Mitt Romney vv. China anything but selling out this nation for a few pieces of silver?

Do you want jobs or don't you? Considering the President of the United States cannot go into California and persuade business owners to move to Texas, the President has to go into foreign countries and talk them into moving or setting up businesses here. It's done by giving incentives like tax breaks and sweet talking the folks with the foreign businesses and persuading them that the US would be a good place to do business.

First off Huawei is not going to be taking over US Telecom any time soon, they are still a minor player in the US and have been here for many years now. Secondly most manufactures in the telecom industry are not American companies and never have been. As for tax breaks this common with ALL large corps in the USA and that is how States and Cities get them to move into their areas. I say this all as an inside, one that has worked for Hauwei and their Chinese rival ZTE. Oh, just so ya know there are two Large (Mutli-Billion) Chinese companies operating in the Dallas area, the other is called ZTE. I may not like Perry but he not doing anything that is unusal and it is good for Texas. The above looks like is comes from soneone that knows little to nothing about the Telecom industry, otherwise they would know this is OLD NEWS.
