Consider the source. Sometimes a source will attract a certain demographic, so even in this instance, sometimes you have to account for ANY kind of bias.

It's a tie, basically (within margin or error).

President Obama's job approval rating averaged 43% last week, well shy of where it started in 2011 and where it likely needs to be for him to win re-election.

Raleigh, N.C. – As the Occupy Wall Street movement has continued and spread, its esteem in American voters’ eyes has slipped. Last month, when PPP first asked about the movement nationally, voters were split, with 35% supporting the movement’s goals and 36% opposing them. Now, that is 33-45, 11 points worse. Still 52% of Democrats support their goals, but opposition has risen from 16% to 24%. Meanwhile, both Republicans (from 13-59 to 11-71) and independents (from 39-34 to 34-42) have moved
13 or 14 points against O.W.S.

That now makes the movement less popular than its right-wing counterpart, the Tea Party. 42% support that movement’s goals, and 45% oppose them. It was 39-45 in the previous survey. When asked of which movement they have a higher opinion, voters side with the Tea Party now, 43-37, a reverse of last month’s 40-37 in favor of O.W.S. Democrats (from 62-9 for O.W.S. to 58-12) and Republicans (from 11-71 to 10-78) have
each moved seven or eight points toward favoring the Tea Party, while independents have shifted 13 points, from 43-34 to 40-44.

As for the president, his approval rating nationwide is unchanged over the last month 45% approved and 51% disapproved both then and now.

“This is one of Barack Obama’s better performances in our polling in recent months,” said Dean Debnam, President of Public Policy Polling. “It’s only the second time since June we’ve found him with a lead over Mitt Romney.”

No matter how you look at it a sitting president is tied with a generic GOP candidate and bot the republican and democratic parties are tied in congress depending on the question asked.

RealClearPolitics - Latest Election Polls

I wasn't talking about margin of error. I was talking about the PEOPLE factor. From one source, I got one poll. From another source I got another poll. At least Public Policy Polling has a breakdown of demographics. The results of a poll sometimes depend on who is answering the poll. Some people who disapprove of President Obama might not be on that poll. Some who disapprove of the GOP might not have answered the poll either.

Really, who do you see storming back in and getting the nod????

The GOP nominee is going to be either The Ogre-Newty or Romneytard.

I see Obama getting back in quite easily.

Listen a Monkey can beat Obama!!!

You just just have to make sure that republican monkey running against him does have the same type of socialist ideas as OBAMA, is not interested in more wars and pretends to be conservative.
So if your list of Republican monkeys are Newt, Mitt, Rick, Michelle, and Rick P all bets are off.

If you want hope and change Ron Paul better be republican nominee.
Ron Paul 2012.

The Democrats have a HUGE machine on the internet..........a vicious left wing netroots movement that will carry out vicious attacks on whomever is the Repub candidate.

And throw on top of all of this the FACT that Obama will have 1 BILLION or more to get back into office. No Repub is going to have even close to that much.

Obama is going to get at least 95% of the black vote, 80+ percent of the hispanic vote, probably 70% of the asian vote...........and almost all of the white liberal vote.

Wow, it is really hard for me to say this...........but, I think Obama is a shoe-in for 2012...........not even that close.

it just goes to show you can never underestimate the stupidity of the american people...
