Umm, not sure if you're joking or not, but I'll respond anyway.
So first, the Bible forbids homosexuality, so he wants to incorporate that into the Constitution by outlawing homosexual marriage in the U.S. Secondly, the Bible also forbids abortion. Again, he wants to make an amendment outlawing that as well. I'm sure he has other ideas floating around in his head to make our country less secular than it already is. That's all fine and dandy, but don't go messing around with our constitution to match his personal agenda. If he doesn't like America, he has two options, he can either get Texas to succeed, or he can get out.
It's already outlawed in most states now or didn't you know?

I understand where you're coming from, but your fears are unfounded. Just so you know, the President doesn't amend the Constitution. So, lets say by some long shot that the Constitution is amended to forbid abortion and homosexual marriage, then the least of your concerns would be the President....it would be the States. And if the States agree to those provisions, then it goes without saying that you're opinions are in the minority.

Uh, no, WinterWeatherFan was only answering how Perry is trying to shove religion down our throats, not whether or not he can actually succeed.
Everyone knows it's a long shot for Perry to do what he said he'll do, but I don't appreciate some pretend religious guy telling me how I should practice my religion even if the chance of said nut actually making his preach into law is minimal. It's call the "Stay Out of My Life" principle. I wish more conservatives understand this one. You don't see Obama trying to shove his religious view on the rest of us.
Whether religious law or non-religious law..... neither is inherently morally superior to the other. Either the laws are just and coherent, or they are not. That, and only that, is the criteria by which good ethics are judged.
Oh, and what about smaller government and states rights? Changing the constitution to match your hatred doesn't equal those things.
I fail to see how "smaller government" and "states rights", both of which are already in the Constitution, are either unconstitutional or "hatred". Please explain that to me.
Seriously, I'm all for religion and religious freedoms, but I don't want it shoved down my throat. If I wanted to live in a place where religious law ruled, I'd move to the Middle East. What's next Ricky? Legalize female circumcision?

The good news about this guy is that, the Rebulican Party isn't stupid enough to give him the nomination.

Really? REALLY? Libs are shoving mandatory healthcare down our throats, and you're accusing conservatives on getting into your life? Wow. Just wow.
WE need freedom FROM religion even more than freedom OF. I need my freedom to believe or not. I do not want secular decisions made on a religious basis particularly if the religion believes the apocalypse is near.
