Have you been asleep during the Bush years when we invaded Iraq and Afghanistan? We actually sent ground troops to those nations with some of our soldiers raping Iraqi women.
But those weren't wars....you yourself stated what a 'war' is and neither fits.

Just as they were in Afghanistan (the birth of Al Qaeda, as a matter of fact). Somehow, that was mighty fine idea, eh?
What is the other superpower the USA is in a Cold War with right now?

Never mind the ridiculous idea that it was all Al Qaeda (I'm sure AQ would try to take advantage of the situation but it is stupid to assume that they drove the who situation).
Who wrote it was ALL Al Qaeda?
You seem to make things up.
Al-Qaeda has its origins in the uprising against the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan. Thousands of volunteers from around the Middle East came to Afghanistan as mujahideen, warriors fighting to defend fellow Muslims. In the mid-1980s, Osama bin Laden became the prime financier for an organization that recruited Muslims from mosques around the world. These "Afghan Arab" mujahideen, which numbered in the thousands, were crucial in defeating Soviet forces. Al-Qaeda — Infoplease.com

Why do you refuse to acknowledge both sides of his point? It's a pretty important piece for the argument. He's saying that there are some serious questions about who will take over after an overthrow. Why is not not a valid point. It doesn't mean you love the dictator. In this case, it really is trying to figure out the lesser of two evils - as far as we know.
