Looks like another Pat Robertson wannabe. Do these people seriously think God favors the United States enough to send earthquakes and Hurricanes to tell us to cut spending?
“I don’t know how much God has to do to get the attention of the politicians. We’ve had an earthquake; we’ve had a hurricane. He said, ‘Are you going to start listening to me here?’ Listen to the American people because the American people are roaring right now. They know government is on a morbid obesity diet and we’ve got to rein in the spending.”
It’s ironic that God would use a hurricane to send a memo about cutting government spending, considering that the damage it causes it[sic] likely going to increase government spending.
I doubt she'll get any votes from Vermont after that comment. I wish she'd go back home and quit politics. She doesn't have the brains to be dog catcher.
What I find scary is not that she said it, but that she felt like she had to. There are so many people in the GOP that actually think like this and if a candidate does not pander to this kind of stupidity, they are no longer electable as a Republican.
