Something like that would be the only viable explanation. It has to look like it is his idea and that it is for a reason other than he has failed...family stress, personal issues...something like that.

Trouble in paradise. Obama is pushing back on the democrat leadership who are begging him to announce he will not run in 2012. The speech is being adjusted at this time to give him a bit more time.

The democrats want him out and he is stomping his feet in a fit of crybaby rage.
