Palin obviously wants to run for the presidency. If she wasn't going to run, she would've already anounced that she wasn't running. Or would she? Stringing the public along in anticipation of her running gains her a great deal of publicity, continues to allow people to donate to her cause and potential presidency, and allows her more fees for speaking engagements to strengthen her bottom line. She's probably making more money prolonging her anouncement than she would were she to anounce, then be exposed immediately and slaughtered upon heavy scrutiny as a candidate. If Palin anounced early on that she would not be running, the interest in her would drop considerably. But this airhead you betcha dingbat wants to run.

Running though presents serious problems for her and she's aware of this. Once she anounces her intention to run, she will be constantly queried for her views on all the issues. The level of scrutiny for every word she says will be more intense and she will be tested on details, facts, and knowledge - all of which she is lousy at. So her strategy is to string the public along without anouncing for the reasons stated above, while casually showing up at all the key states in the early going (Iowa, N.H.) for visibility alongside the other candidates. This allows her similar level of publicity without subjecting her to debates with the other candidates. Again, she wants to avoid the heavier scrutiny that a candidate Palin would have to endure, since she failed miserably at this in '08.

At some point, when the rest of the candidates have been narrowed down including Bachmann, and well into the debate cycle, Palin will anounce her candidacy. She seeks to avoid scrutiny on the issues, doesn't want to be compared to the other candidates or have them tear her apart, and wants to minimize the number of times that she must debate. If 20 GOP debates were planned, she woul prefer that there be only 1 left before she entered. Absolutely absurd.

The question for you Republicans is: how can you be taken seriously when GOP candidates like Palin try to AVOID scrutiny in her run for the presidency? Quite the pathetic campaign strategy she has. What an airhead conniver.
