He's a doctor right? M.D.? Logical-science based thinking.
He knows what a collection of cells are and doesn't confuse it with being a baby......
He is an OB-Gyn who has delivered over 4000 babies.
Abortion |* |* Ron Paul 2012 Presidential Campaign CommitteeRon Paul 2012 Presidential Campaign Committee (http://www.ronpaul2012.com/the-issues/abortion/ - broken link)
Just as with most issues Ron Paul's stance is to take that which is not defined as a federal power in the US Constitution out of the realm of the federal government and return that power to the individual states to decide how they choose to address it.
Well then put things in perspective. Which is more important?
*Isn't your right to life, liberty, including privacy and the right to a fair trial, privacy and protection againsnt unreasonable searches and seizures and protection against the government spying on you vs.....someone elses right to an abortion (because you wouldn't have one as you've said) more important???
Maybe it is time to be a little selfish and protect your interests and the country's interests and give them TOP PRIORITY LEVEL and put those women who want to have abortions priorities lower down.
One thing that may do more to screw up who we end up with as president are those single issue voters. They can't see the Forest for the Trees!
One issue (abortion) Braindead voters are the reason Michelle(the Idiot) Bachmann represents my district. It is tunnel visioned idocy to vote because of one issue and ignore more important issues...
No two people will agree on everything. Pick the candidate that you feel best represents your interests. This has nothing to do with abortion unless you make it about abortion.
See, I think people should pick the candidate that best supports the US Constitution. Our country wouldn't be so messed up if this had been done for the past 100 years because the federal government wouldn't be meddling in our individual lives.
Exactly MOGal. Actually I don't care what his opinion of abortion is. My issue is that he's planning to actually spend time preventing people from having abortions.
I think you are missing two HUGE points: 1) Presidents to do not enact laws, Congress does; and 2) Ron Paul has a track record of voting against abortion issues and enacting them into law already.
So much for his "State Rights" rhetoric.
Oh no!!! Please don't allow facts to interfere with the love fest for Ron Paul.
He is an OB-Gyn who has delivered over 4000 babies.

I feel the same way about those who would kill those they dislike or they perceive to cause hardship!
I mean, look, if someone wants to off another person, by all means, they will have to live with the guilt of such. It shouldn't be illegal.
Yes.
Besides that, I'm sure God (assuming there is one) would look more favorably upon a person who aborts a child they can't support financially versus someone who doesn't.
Well, the Constitution enshrines life as an inalienable right. Do you disagree with that?
Do you mind backing up your claim with some proof?
