MICHELE BACHMANN: Obama "stole over $500 billion out of Medicare to switch it over to Obamacare. ... These are programs that need to be saved to serve people, and in their current form, they can't."
ROMNEY: "He cut Medicare by $500 billion. This is a Democrat president. The liberal, so to speak, cut Medicare. Not Republicans, the Democrat."
THE FACTS: "Stole" is a hyperbolic way to describe the kinds of shifts in budget priorities that happen every day in Washington. To pay for expanded insurance coverage, Obama's health care law cuts $500 billion in payments to the Medicare Advantage program — which a congressional agency said was being overpaid — and to hospitals and nursing homes. Nearly all House Republicans, including Bachmann, later voted for a GOP budget plan that retained the same cuts Obama had made.

Hell, not only will they lie and distort the actions of Pres. Obama, they'll lie on each other.

They lie because they are liars. Weasels who don't give a damn about the poor or middle class of this country.

Huum, to forecfully take money out of a program, Medicare, and to put it into a program that more than 50% of Americans do not want now - mandated Healthcare....and Medicare as we all know has a funding problem now...if you take it by force, against the majoritys will..what do you call that...? Sounds like thievery to me....
Democrats are liars and thieves, they have no problem stealing money from the very people they claim to love and support. The poor and middle class of the US have been screwed by Democrats more than anyone could count but they continue to support these idiots.
If you came up with a bumper sticker that pulls together the platform of this year’s crop of Republican presidential candidates, it would have to be:
Repeal the 20th century. Vote GOP.
It’s not just the 21st century they want to turn the clock back on — health-care reform, global warming and the financial regulations passed in the wake of the recent financial crises and accounting scandals.
These folks are actually talking about repealing the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act and the Environmental Protection Agency, created in 1970s.
They’re talking about abolishing Medicare and Medicaid, which passed in the 1960s, and Social Security, created in the 1930s.
They reject as thoroughly discredited all of Keynesian economics, including the efficacy of fiscal stimulus, preferring the budget-balancing economic policies that turned the 1929 stock market crash into the Great Depression.
...
One of them is even talking about repealing the 16th and 17th amendments to the Constitution, allowing for a federal income tax and the direct election of senators — landmarks of the Progressive Era.
What’s next — repeal of quantum physics?
...

Care to elaborate instead of just tossing out baseless charges?

All true of course. We KNOW for a fact, the democrats cut Medicare by $500 Billion in order to get a lower figure for the cost of obamacare.

This si complete distortion of the truth. I have heard folks talk about changing SS to a private system or chaning itesm such as retirement age, means testing, etc. Also, no one wants to change anything for those at 55 yrs now.
I am in my 40 s and I want to change SS...I would much rather have control myself. SO to say that folks want to abolish SS is so untrue, that when people make those kind of claims, they are either incredibly stupid or a fear monger.

If you pass this Stimulus, unemployment won't raise over 8 percent. Oh wait, wrong lie.

I didn't make any baseless charges, I made a very basic observation of the ignorant Democrats that I'm forced to deal with daily. Hell just look at the left wing nut jobs here on CD, that's proof enough that liberal Democrats are all mentally unstable liars.
