LOS ANGELES, Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann predicted California will end up in the red-state column on Election Day 2012.

A majority of Californians haven't voted Republican in a presidential election since 1988, but the Minnesota congresswoman told about 400 people at a California GOP convention dinner in Los Angeles Friday that could change in the next election, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Bachmann continues to be a pathetic presence on the national stage even as her support plummets. She stinks. Her messages ring hollow and flat. The only way she makes headlines is by making outrageous claims, none of which shed any light on her own solutions to help the country. She has no plans that can help this country get over the problems that her party created during the Bush years and continue to perpetuate with their obstructionist tactics. She's part of the problem, obviously.

She's now prancing around trying to look attractive enough to be asked to be on the ticket when someone else wins the GOP nomination. She's bucking for VP now or some spot in the cabinet that is not-to-be.

What a joke she is.

Silly Bachmann. California is the ATM for both parties, but no one really expects to flip it. It's a solid blue fixture on the electoral map.

You can make light (pun intended) of Bachman because she is pretty much a waste of a candidate, but its no joke that the Obama administration is heavily influenced by GE, and they are "coincidentally" pushing legislation that promotes a very profitable GE product, and makes it illegal for any cheaper competitive products.

While I can't believe anyone would put stock in what Bachmann ever says it is good that her insanity is kept fresh in everyone's mind.

Why doesn't she stay in California and run for some office since she's done nothing for Minnesota....and probably forgot that's who she's supposed to be representing....

I can always be wrong, but it seems to me that Mrs. Bachman spends as much time reversing her statements with lengthy, complicated explanations after she gets called on to explain them. It seems as if she pulls her "facts" and conjectures out of her "left ear" with no basis in reality.

As far as I can tell, both she and Mrs. Palin have been great sideshows for the GOP circus that has come to town and overstayed its welcome. Even the two gladiators' sparrings have had little true value in showing us what the GOP offers for an office as important as our Executive Leader.

When do the serious-minded, rational thinking GOP return for the real presidential debates? The entertainment was funny for a time, but we grow weary with the jokes and now want to see some viable candidates for the presidential office.

If Bachmann says it, it's as good as gold. That lady is never wrong.
