Just like the Paul supporters to claim he's "surging." The man is FLAMING OUT.

His campaign is over. He's going after delegates in a year of certain GOP defeat to this great President. The man has always been delusional and misguided.

I think it's time for Paul to give HIMSELF a checkup. He's not well and his campaign is sucking air. It is 35 cents from a quarter.

His campaign isn't over.

Yes, it is. He will not be the GOP nominee. Therefore, he has zero chance of becoming president.

Even the MSM has explained that he WILL be at state conventions. All he is doing is stopping the big speaking engagements. In other words, he's doing about what Romney has been doing (since Romney couldn't draw a crowd if his life depended on it).

Ron Paul's message is already out. It doesn't do any good to spend money campaigning for the popular vote when the Diebold voting machines are going to scramble the results anyway.

The test will be in August at Tampa. Romney does NOT have enough delegates to be the nominee and half of the ones called for Romney are Paul supporters. Also Ron Paul controls more than enough states so that his name definitely WILL be on the ballot in Tampa.

I heard a tape of a press conference held yesterday with Jesse Benton and all the MSM was there. They called out the names of their organizations before they asked a question and Jesse made it sound like the campaign is just being practical. Spending a ton of money in primary states, even if they had it, isn't going to make a hill of beans difference was what I got out of it. He did confirm that Dr. Paul would be going to state conventions. He confirmed that many of Romney delegates were Paul supporters.

He also said there were plenty of Freedom candidates running for other offices (local, state and federal) so that whether Paul is the next president or not, there will be fewer and fewer status quo candidates left so that eventually we will get the change we want and our FREE country back.

He left everything very open-ended. I think this whole move was to let the Romney campaign think they were backing off while they work behind the scenes on securing/training delegates to give us an August surprise.

So, he is not running TV ads....
He is speaking at fund raisers and at State conventions, before the delegate votes.
He realizes the msm, is the establishment's propaganda arm.

Ron Paul moneybomb, May 17th.... Because he dropped out? OK, if he dropped out, that doesn't make a lick of sense.

I think part of the strategy was to let people think he dropped out on purpose. That way he can continue his campaigning and delegate accumulation without the dirty tricks and resistance from the Romney campaign. Furthermore, if Paul is going to BE at state conventions speaking, people are more likely to be on their best behavior and he'll probably end up with a lot more delegates as I've said before.

Whether one wins or not has no bearing on their participation.

This article, by Robin Koerner who usually write for the Huff. Post spells out how Paul can win. It also notes that so far Romney has only 70 delegates to Ron's 35 or so. It also points out that some of those 70 for Romney are Paul supporters AND that of all the alternates, Ron Paul has the majority.

It is VERY LIKELY based on this analysis that Romney will NOT get even close to his 1144 delegates and that we will have a brokered convention.
It

"Romney's support has proven so shallow and Paul's so deep that, all over the country, at GOP meetings in which delegates are selected to represent a county at the state convention or a state at the national convention, there are too many Paulites in the room to allow pro-Romney party officials to get their favored slates pushed through without underhanded shenanigans.".....

If Paul has campaign debts to pay, it makes perfect sense to drop a money bomb on him. Support for a candidate does not end with a victory or defeat except for those who never really supported him in the first place.

He doesn't have debts, they have been in the black the whole time. Paying, as they go. However, there are more expenses coming.
