This is just one of his scary proposals. To de-Tooth our Military!

Q.G. You are sounding more and more like a Neo-Con War Monger. I thought you wanted Peace. You don't engender peaceful relations by setting up military bases in other countries; bombing them with drones and killing civilians. How would we like it if the Chinese did that to us?

You also don't make your military stronger by doing that. One common sense fact is that the more troops you have the stronger your military is. You don't strengthen your military by getting them killed or maimed in senseless wars that you started in countries that aren't a threat to begin with .....not to mention the fact that we can't afford it.

and I do not agree with you. THere were no WMD by the time we got there, but this certainly doesn't mean they didn't exist 6 months before, that is about how long we gave Hussain to get rid of them. No one can say one way or the other, with certainty there were never any..

Well I watched Gen'l Colin Powell try to convince us that there were WMDs showing what looked like a horse barn where we were supposed to believe they were stored. "Fraid not". We were too stupid and too gullible just as we believed all the propaganda they fed us about why we should give up our liberties and let them spy on us after 9/11 after the passed the Patriot Act.

Besides, had Iraq attacked us? Big deal if they'd had a few WMDs. Russia had many more WMD's and we didn't go an attack them. Our military isn't supposed to be used OFFENSIVELY to START wars. It is supposed to be used to DEFENSIVELY to protect us AGAINST attacks from other countries.

thank God they didn't attack us. You can believe what you want about whether of not there were WMD early on and I still have the right to believe what I want to about that. No one knows, not even you and no one will ever know..

Somehow, I don't think you had to worry about Iraq attacking the United States. That wouldn't even happen in a badly written war novel.

I like looking into threads when "conservatives" are battling other "conservatives." What's Ron Paul's view on protecting Israel?
