Very CLEAR instructions...no doubt!!!
That doesn't say Israel. Who says the modern country of Israel is Abraham's nation? 50% of all Israeli Jews are atheist.

"I will bless those who bless you...and through you all the people on earth will be blessed." Genesis 12:3.

Who am I to argue with that any more than I would anything else the Bible instructs me to do?
Rather hard to support the position that Jews are blessed, seeing as we are the most persecuted minority on Earth.

I agree that there should be a separtation of church and state. I also believe that what Rick Perry stated about Israel, for him as a Christian is true. Aside from that reason to stand with Israel, we other reasons as well. It is naive to think we don't.

That is a very high estimate. Judaism is not just religous, it is also ethnic and cultural. If you are Jewish, I would think you would know that.

I am well aware of that. But the Biblical argument you are using seems to be based on religion, seeing as you're referring to the covenant made with Abraham.

It is surreal to say the least to watch a Christian lecture a Jew on what it means to be a Jew and how to properly interpret the Torah.

Some of the relationship has to do with agriculture, some with renewable energy.

I don't know why he's "saving" this kind of information in the campaign as it's more evidence of job creation, wooing business and it's international.
Here I was thinking he was just going to Israel to get his marching orders.

If Israel suddenly declared the sun revolved around the Earth, Perry would agree, just because Israel said so. And he would win office.
Perry has always been strong in his Christian faith.

Obama admitted himself he's a Muslim though George Stephanopolis had to quickly correct him.

Perry is toast. Even Joe Scarborough reacted to a comment saying these Debates aren't helping Perry with, "That's the understatement of the year".

Perry and Bachmann and the rest of the "Dominionists" don't have a snowball's chance in hell of gaining any traction outside their evangelical and mainly regional "base".

Meanwhile, the irony is that Romney is probably the only GOP candidate actually capable of attracting any wider appeal, especially in the important urban areas. Trouble is, most of the "base" consider Mormons to be some sort of "cult" (which when you think about it, is kinda like the pot calling the kettle black...)!

BTW, I wonder if most folks are aware that Perry's and Evangelicals' support for Israel is really based on their desire to hasten the 2nd Coming of Christ (aka, "Armageddon" and the "Apocalypse")?!

Perry's TO-DO LIST as POTUS:
1. try to convert the Middle East
2. nuke Iran
3. await the Rapture....
