Gov Perry- Theocratic Christian Zionist, and proud of it .

Should Perry get the nomination (which I seriously doubt), the choice for president in 2012 will be as stark as any time since '64.

Is the country going to support a man who uses reason, rationality, and science, or one who bases crucial decisions on what the magical invisible beings in his head are "directing" him to do?

He's just playing politics pulling the Jesus card to get the evangelical vote.

Here is little MORE reliable source, link on the story.

Rick Perry: ‘As a Christian . . . I stand with Israel’ - Under God - The Washington Post

Quote from Perry
''Perry, surrounded by what he called “a diverse group of Jewish leaders from here and abroad,”characterized President Obama’s approach to the Middle East as “naive and arrogant, misguided and dangerous.” Perry also outlined the policy stance he would take toward Israel as president.''

You can read Perry’s proposal here.

Perry certainly got the above right!

The only thing he has a directive to do is be respectful of all religions as an elected official. I really wish our politics were not so heavily driven by a 2,000 year old fairy tale.

Maybe I'll start my own political party and call it the Posidan Party, and we can all pay our taxes by throwing money into the sea to appease my god...better yet, throw it into the fountains at the mall and stimulate the economy. Is it too late for me to run for 2012?

Perry wants a Christian in every pocket .... wait, or is it he wants to be in the pocket of every Christian? I can never remember which it is.

It is not called pandering when you believe it and it is not the 'far Christian right' either. It's most Christians who know and were taught the Bible and it's teachings. I am far from a Perry fan, but on this one he is right. There are many other good reasons to support Israel along with these beliefs, but this is what he believes as most Christians do.
