I think so too, but understand your position. I assume you will vote for Obama again, yes?

I would not go that far...I don't think he took campaign money to support his illegitiment child or the child's mom...

The sad part, he is brillant and would get my support except he hasn't had the executive experience I think we need.

In your OP, you asked what is not to like about this guy. I answered because he is a scumbag. If a person would vote for this guy, they are useless.

Here are the facts. Just the facts.
Let's remember, Newt famously dumped wife #1 for wife #2 while wife #1 was in the hospital recovering from cancer surgery. As in literally went to the hospital to present her with divorce papers while she was recovering from surgery for uterine cancer.
He eventually dumped wife #2 for wife #3 shortly after wife #2 was diagnosed with MS back in 1999. And he was having the affair on wife #2 with wife #3 while he was turning the country upside down trying to drive Bill Clinton from office over his affair with Monica Lewinsky.
David Frum, George W. Bush's former speechwriter, believes it's not so much the infidelity, but the aforementioned "arrogance, hypocrisy, and — most horrifying to women voters — the cruelty" that will be so "politically lethal."

Newt Gingrich is useless scumbag. I will be interested to see someone defend this behavior.

Convince me.
I am pro Ron Paul, but he is probably too extreme for the majority.
Newt is a history professor and speaks bluntly. He doesn't like political correctness. What's not to like about this man. He is not a globalist, he is a patriot. right?

Newt has more baggage than Samsonite. You might not care but it will be used to slaughter him in the general election. He is smart and witty and knows his stuff but in his personal life he is an ass...sorry but true.

I'll tell you why not Newt. He's a Keynesian. He is clueless about economics. He'd just probably reappoint Ben Bernanke to the Federal Reserve. Our Economy is a HUGE ISSUE and he is too much of a war monger.

Yes he knows a lot about history and he is smart and he knows a lot about the Constitution but he is one of the Pro Roosevelt guys who thinks Roosevelt got us out of the "GReat Depression" when in fact Roosevelt made it last longer with all of his big government spending and price controls and government intervention in the business world.

If Roosevelt had a clue, he would have done what President Harding did during the "Forgotten Depression" and shrunk the government and let the free market operate on its own.

He has aleady answered for this bad behavior on his part. He has since then embraced Christianity, and is still with the woman he fell in love with. As I said in the op, his personal life of years ago is inconsequential to his candidacy today. He is not lying about it, or covering it up, like the Clintons did. He owned it. I'd rather have someone that's real and flawed, than a phony like Obama. Newt is a leader, you can't take that away from him.

I respect your opinion emily - you're probably right, as much as it pains me. I loved his idea of job training for unemployment benefits.
