Allen West not ruling out VP bid: 'I'm always willing to serve my country' - The Hill's Blog Briefing Room

Quote:
Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) is not closing the door to being considered for the vice presidential spot, despite only having served in Congress for less than three months.

Speculation over West was sparked Friday when former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.), who is considering a presidential bid, said that a number of Florida GOP politicians would do well as vice president, including West.
I'd rather see him in the top spot, but this is good news anyway.

I like Allen West, but why don't we let him get his feet wet in Congress before we make him the 2nd most powerful person in the world. Didn't we learn our lesson with the Bozo in the WH

Well I guess the candidate that picks him doesn't have a chance......you know, since we are such racists. Ohhh wait, the left doesn't view West as a real black person.......

Going from Joe Biden to Allen West as VP would be like going from an abacus to an iPad.

I like West but I think he would have to asked by the candidate that is nominated first. This sort of makes him look presumptuious in a way.

He hasn't been blooded yet. JHC, we have had one president with little to no experience in government. Please. All I hear is, Marco Rubio for President ! Do not all of you people realize that Florida is the biggest "good ole boy" state in the Union. Also considered one of the most corrupt with cronyism......and I am a native Floridian and have no illusions about my state government. AS far as I am concerned, Paula Dockery was pretty much the most honest person in our government and you see where she got to......

Marco Rubio is not ready to run for President, I agree. Maybe VP but I even have my concerns about that. There are some issues with Rubio running for president or VP that some people might not fully realize.

exactly. This is what many of our wonderful, new, young Republicans will have to do: get their feet wet. That is one of the things that stopped Christie I think, along with his family wanted him to wait until the kids were out of the house.
