Great Idea (Sarcasm) Let's waste money and time arresting traitor lunatics hell bent on killing Americans and pay for expensive trials and lawyers, that is an absolutely STUPID idea.

It would be different IF there was any doubt to his innocence, but there isn't.

Ron Paul has basically killed what little chance he had at getting elected he's finished even though he had some great ideas for the US.
Yeah fair trials are a waste of money. Let's just kill all the people the government tells us are criminals. That will save a lot of money.:rol leyes:

Flash: The current President who authorized this is a Democrat. Perhaps he should become a Republican because frankly it would fit him better.

Like it or not, put the knee-jerk reactions away and realize he's a U.S. citizen
What's more hilarious is seeing so many "liberals" applauding this because their man Barry was behind it. Where's all the faux outrage that was on prominent display after a few members of a debate audience cheered for Rick Perry's execution record? Where's the shock that was displayed when some random person screamed "let him die!" when Ron Paul was asked a question about an uninsured 30something? Where's all the "liberals" that were so outraged when W. decided to invade Iraq? Why's it okay for Obama to trample on the Constitution but not okay for a Republican to do it? Democrats were fooled by Obama's peaceful rhetoric the first time around and it seems like most of them are still going to vote for him again anyway.

First off all, I'm not really a Ron Paul supporter, I just agree with him on civil liberties and foreign policy. Second off, Obama's not really all that liberal when you break down his actual record.

The hypocrisy is outrageous from both sides of the aisle. People need to look beyond the Left vs Right and rah rah, go team mentality.

IMO, Ron Paul is THE MOST conservative candidate. He is willing to DEFEND the constitution even when it is not popular. No one is saying that the guy should have been let to plot, but he should have been brought in and it should have gone through the courts. Our constitution should have been followed.

If we let the government get away with assassinating a US citizen, no matter how horrible that person is, they will do it again.

Default Paul is worse than a clown; he's irrelevant

Let this be a lesson to any American who decides to leave tihs country and join a terrorist organization intent on killing Americans. You face dire consequences, including being stripped of your right to due process when we treat you like the terrorist that you have defined yourself to be.

I believe that Al-Awlaki renounced his American citizenship BY IMPLICATION when he left the country and became a terrorist. To hell with him. Who cares what Ron Paul says? He's becoming less relevant by the week.

Just like Pubs to make an issue of this since they have absolutely no meaningful, useful plans coming from their party to help this country get beyond the enormous problems that they created under Bush...and are still perpetuating.

I agree. Adding to that, watch all the mainstream neo-conservatives across the U.S. suddenly start accepting the same stuff Obama is doing when a "mainstream, electable" Republican wins in 2012. It's just like the liberals you describe. Bush did the same things Obama is doing now, where was the outrage from the right then?

Americans are conditioned to hate when the opposition does something, but approve of it when "their man" is the one doing it. When Romney (or another hero, like General David Petraeus) steps into the White House and invades Syria on "humanitarian" grounds like Libya, I somehow foresee the conservatives on here defending the invasion and the liberals crying out against it

I think it's fine that Ron Paul sticks to his principles. I also think it's fine that he just effectively removed himself from any consideration of getting the Republican nomination.
That said, I'd put him in charge of investigating the Federal Reserve....when the time comes.

yeah, democrats are generally for smaller government and fiscal responsibility.

i respect paul because he is absolutely without question the most consistent politician, and doesn't flip flop on the issues.

he stands for what he believes in and would be a strong leader.

on the subject at hand, i find it worrisome that american citizens are now being placed on a secretly determined government kill list — despite the clear requirement of our Fifth Amendment to the Constitution that "no person shall be ... deprived of life, liberty or property without due process of law."

our laws are being broken down little by little, and some people applaud.
