You're seriously calling a reaction to the 'n' word playing the race card? What exactly does it take for someone not to be 'playing the race card' these days? Was James Byrd's family 'playing the race card' when they condemned Byrd's murder by white supremacists?
My question is ultimately this: It's probably true that most of those who will be voting don't want someone who owned a property previously known as "N!99erhead" as PoTUS, do they?
I mean, imagine if it were someone running for President that had purchased land that was well-known as "Peckerwood Head" or "Chinkhead" or "Honkeyhead" or "Hoogiehead" or "Crackerhead" or "Sp!chead." It'd make you wonder about their character, wouldn't it?
Cain started as a political analyst in 1996 and has been running for office since 2000. He has just never won any of them.
Is that really true? The guy keeps saying he's not a politician. I knew that part was false since he's running for President but I didn't know he'd been a politician that long
This is typical of the Texas white frat boy mentality. I can never understand how incredibly mean spirited they are. When I went to an all-white Kappa Alpha rushing party (the Ol South frat) at southwest Texas State in 1983, one brother made it a point to tell me that they don't like blacks hanging out there, except that sometimes the other brothers would invite blacks to play basketball with them. Perry comes from the same type of people.
Yes. Obviously he was overreacting to think it's insensitive to call a ranch"Ni99erhead."
Except Rick Perry didn't call his ranch that name.

That was not the question, only an idiot would deduce that.

The question was, "Is Cain playing the race card?" The implication of the question is, is he overreacting to consider it insensitive that the Perry ranch is called "Ni99erhead." Only a racist would even question whether that's inappropriate. Call me an idiot if you want for noting your racism. But attacking the observer doesn't change the truth of the observation.
That's not true, I saw the whole interview. Wallace brought it up. And Cain handled the question extremely well. That is very offensive, he had every right to say so. He didn't play the martyr like Obams does. Obama implied his own grandmother was a racist to try to win votes.

Cain only replied... politely... that he thought it was insensitive.
BTW, during the period of time of said rock's infamy... Perry was a DEMOCRAT.
