I really liked the format of this debate. So much better than those stupid soundbite, gotcha questions.

All about the economy, a chance, and they all certainly took it, to highlight the massive failure of obama's policies.

I thought Perry and Romney did well.

Newt is always a favorite.

Ridiculous...you should lose people when the answer shows that much ignorance and lack of understanding of the recent past when it applies to our largest financial crisis in decades.

Not for long. Cain is gonna fall from the top, but Fox will try to prevent that. I'd imagine the establishment is counting on white guilt to keep Cain in the race. He is the Republican Magical Negro after all. I've seen it with posters about Marco Rubio on here and Alan West. Republicans are not racist, but at the subconscious level they still want to prove to the idiot liberal media that they are not because mainstream conservatives are wrapped up in PC just as much as the liberals are

No one cares about his religion - we need someone with the brains to lead the country. Rick Perry? Ick. The media is trying desperatly to build up Cain, but he has about as much appeal to those of us who are moderates as Sarah Palin did, and that's zippo, zilch.
I agree. Romney is the one. Cain's 9-9-9 is gimmicky and misguided. He's not the one. Ponzi proved to be a dud. Bachmann's brand of gay crazy has very limited appeal. It's Romney. Nominate the guy already.

Why not Ron Paul? The competition is basically between those 2. Everyone else, except Paul and Romney, are flavors of the month

I thought Mitt did outstanding, I can't help but like the man and do believe he comes away as the winner tonight. I place Newt as 2nd.
I'm still voting for Ron Paul!
Cain was awful imo, I just don't like his arrogance and condescending attitude. I also don't like 999
Mitt proves with every debate that he's going to be serious trouble for Obama. Tonight he was convincingly compassionate. I was very skeptical about Mitt until these debates. He's the real deal.

Brain, I seriously considered voting for Paul at one point. I was buying into the dream that a man can rise and upset the system. He's got a fatal, and I mean fatal, flaw though. Those highly charged racist newsletters from the 90s. He's just not going to recover from those, Brain. The media isn't hammering him about them right now because he's still fringe, but the second he rises to the number two slot he will be swatted out of it swiftly. I think the guy has a lot of good ideas, and he seems like a nice enough fellow -- but you can't be David Duke in a former life and go on to be president.

The newsletters have been brought up over and over...and put to rest over and over, the news letters are no excuse. Paul is clearly not a racist, its not possible to be racist and support a libertarian platform such as he does.

t, they haven't been put to rest at all. They're out there. They have Ron Paul's name on them. They're really racist. I would be more than happy to read any source or link you have that you think effectively puts this issue to rest, but I just don't see it.
