I think he needs to drink coffee or an energy drink before these debates. He seems like he has no enthusiasm for it all. Just saying that debates aren't your 'thing' is not going to get it. This is sort of picking as far as his lack of historical knowledge, but he is overall just not prepared each and every time.

Slip of the tongue or brain fart. Doesn't rise to the level of some candidates/pundits who make up their own versions of history (Bachmann and Palin, mainly).

That's an insult to Fred.

Will Rick Perry be able to visit all 57 states in the next 13 months?

I do see your point on the lack of energy and enthusiasm, but at least Fred could still be articulate toward the end. I do remember he was the conservative dream in the beginning also though. That never seems to work out.

I don't think Perry's heart is in this. Some idiot talked him into running and now he realizes he is not ready, but he doesn't know how to get out gracefully now.

I think he might be just shooting for a nice cabinet position.

Agreed. I think that he tries to appear and sound very "texan" at the debates, using plenty of slang to add to his charms. I'm not so sure if that charm works outside of the southern states.

Perry seems very argumentative to me when asked a question. when the fairgoer asked the question in iowa if corps were people, he was very high strung with his argument style. He also talks very fast and uses big words that are not good to attract the southern base. there is a really funny movie called "idiocracy" with luke wilson. The lead character is often said by the morons around him to use "too many faggetty words". That's a direct quote from the movie. The society that luke wilson is sent to had degraded to citizens and leaders with moronic qualities. Romney reminds me of the luke wilson character, albeit stiffer and much less sexy.
