You are stuck in class warfare mode?

1. This would reduce a tremendous amount of the complexity from the current tax code, giving small business an equal footing with big corps.
2. This would allow huge savings that businesses currently spend avoiding taxes.
3. This would drastically cut the size of the IRS and reduce the size of other departments within government.
4. This would give America a huge advantage and appeal to foreign capital investment.
5. This would crush much of the lobbying industry in DC.
6. This equalizes the tax burden, making it more difficult for the feds to raise taxes in the future because we would all see the tax increases immediately.
7. This would create huge incentives for businesses to hire new employees.
8. This would lower the cost of most consumer goods, due to a reduction in the tax burden to businesses.
9. This would refocus business on cost competitiveness and innovation, rather than pandering to politicians in order to secure market advantages and tax loopholes.
10. This would simplify financial reporting for businesses, make it easy to track, more accurate, and standardized for all businesses.
11, This plan eliminates the payroll tax

Here is the issue with the 999 plan.

9% income tax is good.. its not great but good.

As far as I am concerned we should have no INCOME TAX period.

9% sales tax on top of the state sales tax could be as high as 17% sales tax under cains plan that is kind of crazy.

I would suggest a 10% corp tax, 3 income tax since its still in the constitution, and a 3% federal sales tax but cain wont go for that it wont let his federal reserve buddies print money and supported with a income tax.
I lets follow the 3,3,3 plan which is so low government will have to cut spending!

Most of the poor only pay a tax on sales items of which things like FOOD and clothing are tax exempt ANYWAY! I think asking the poor to pay something in taxes is reasonable considering most of the money comes back to them in government handouts etc.
1% tax on all imports

Remove the federal gas tax, telephone tax, death tax,

Is Herman Cain's 9-9-9 tax plan fair?

if CNN thinks that the 999 plan isnt fair, and since they always like to give a biased opinion instead of a neutral one. then CNN should not mind giving 99% of their profit to help offset the national deficit.

There is nothing in the plan that guarantees it. Businesses will see that they don't have to pay as much taxes, and that means more profits for them.

The 999 plan doesn't make things cheaper for those who are in need of the goods.

if you bothered to read the article, instead of the title of this thread, the article doesn't reflect that CNN says' its unfair. They said it was a cause for concern (how it taxes more to the poor than the wealthy) . THE PEOPLE they interviewed said it was unfair.

The banksters like thing the way they are, cuz they can lobby for custom made tax loopholes. This 999 plan eliminates these unfair tax advantages that big money can buy.

If you don't like a business that does so....start a business that competes with them, but offer the product at a lower price. All businesses have competition of some sort, they can only increase profits so much before a competator undercuts them and takes away their customers.

What's not fair about 9 pizzas with 9 toppings for $9? That sounds like a great deal!
