Valid points. I still think he'll lose North Carolina. Beverly Perdue (D) is having a hell of a time getting anything done because of the GOP legislature. The GOP took over both houses in the 2010 (first time since 1896)....which is indicative of voter angst with Democratic policies.

Obama has a tough row to hoe in 2012. North Carolina will swing to the Right in my opinion.

yes. Factor in OWS and African-American voters. The GOP will lose.

The trend is reversing. The GOP is losing its steam. Local bellwether fall elections this year in the state of NC are showing big wins for democrats in the primaries. The reason for the reversal? The GOP hasn't done anything since taking control of the house in 2010. Don't forget congress is showing lower poll numbers than the president, much lower. Also don't forget about Occupy Wall Street voters next year. That certainly benefits Obama since the vast majority of them are liberals and they are pissed off about GOP policies. They don't want to return to the Bush era.

The GOP, though, has gone in and re-written state government. They have made radical changes.

I haven't seen polls on the matter, but personally I will definitely be voting democrat in the state and local elections. NC Republicans are too far right, too ideological and extreme. There are a good bit of moderate democrat voters here, and competent Democrat politicians. This is completely different from a place like south carolina, where the Democrats are overwhelmingly incompetent, and someone like Alvin Greene can win a major Democratic primary.

Nationally, I could see Romney or Obama winning NC. I'd give the edge to Obama, though.

Ohio is also a swing state and IMHO it will come down too which side is energized and it is going to be close. I just do not think that Obama who ran on " Hope and Change " is going to get the black voter turn out he did in 08. To blacks Obama has not delivered any hope or change and has been just like his white predecessors. Even with that said Ohio is going to be a dog fight.

Blacks will vote to keep the GOP candidate from winning. Also they would want to keep a historical presidency alive. Republican policies got us into this mess in the first place.

How's those tax increases do in Coloroado this week?

Since that's pretty much all Obama stands for.
