Romney will probably pick the Governor of Virginia Bob McDonnell as his running mate.[/quote]

I have heard he is on the short list if Romney were to get the nomination. I think that's a good pick for him also.

Don't you mean WHEN he gets the nomination, since the GOP cannot pick any of the others or they would be the laughing stock of the world.

With what is going on in the world these days in other
countries, I don't think anyone globally is quick to
judge anyone's leaders.... including ours

Yeah, kind of like Obama has made us the laughing stock of the world.

I like McDonnell but why would any governor pick another governor? Shouldn't they be looking for a running mate to complement them aka provide the skills they lack? A governor's weakness is foreign policy and navigating inside the beltway. That's the skill set a governor/businessman presidential candidate should be looking for in a running mate.

Yes because impressing our bankrupt friends on the verge of meltdown is so uber important. We elected a super chic President that Europeans loved and it's not working out for us so far.

Mitch Daniels would be a good running mate.
Made Indiana the Best state in the midwest for business/balanced the budget well reducing taxes.

There are serveral good reasons for chooosing McDonnell. He is a well respected conservative from a southern state that went blue last election and really just about has to be red this election to win. He was also a lieutenant colonel in the United States Army which does lend some experience to the foreign policy piece. He has just been mentioned as on the short list, along with a couple of others. You never know who it will be until it's announced though.
