There you have it, can not turn down the Donald and the debate is for his entertainment I guess Newt has changed where character does not count. OOps sorry the GOP struck that from their ideology way back. [/LEFT]
If I were Bill Gates, I'd sue.

I see that Gingrich has confirmed he will participate in the debate:

Newt Gingrich on Saturday accepted an invitation to appear at a December debate moderated by bombastic TV personality Donald Trump, smilingly as he asked reporters, "Who can resist The Donald?"

Two big fat egos on the same stage?

Who else? Bachmann, for sure. She can't afford to not be there (if she's still in the race). Santorum, too. I'm not sure about Romney; I think I could almost see him declining.

What if they have a debate and nobody comes? Really, if it's just Gingrich, Santorum, and Bachman, what kind of a debate could it be?

I will, for sure, be watching the debate. It does not matter that Trump is self important and annoying. What is entertaining is that he does not filter what he says.

Neither does a naughty 3 year old but I don't think that would make them appropriate to host a debate for candidates for the presidency.

In this day of reality tv and "unfiltered" behavior, do you know what I find myself really missing? Dignity.

This debate will probably have huge ratings..that is the purpose "to have maximum eyeballs". I believe most people will find it very refreshing compared to smug reporters whos biggest motivation is to get the candidates fighting amongst each other. The majority of Americans agree with Trumps positions and his blunt way of articulating them.

The GOP is going to lose any integrity it has left. I am so glad that my favorite candidate, Jon Huntsman, passed on the opportunity to participate in silly debate moderated by a reality TV show celebrity.

To dixiegirl, nothing wrong with being an Independent. I am more of a centrist that will vote either way depending on the issue.

If I believed that were true I would lose all hope for my beloved country. But I really do not believe it is true. I know a great number of people across this country.....people from very diverse backgrounds and political beliefs. And I do not know one single person that doesn't hold Donald Trump in complete contempt.

He keeps talking about this silly reality show he is paid to host being such a great success and I have never talked to a single person that has ever watched that show.

He talks about his great financial success and yet he has filed for bankruptcy several times and now is actually dependent on his wages for his silly little show and the fees his charges for hosting "fundraisers" to maintain his lifestyle.

The only thing that "the Donald" has ever truly mastered is being the biggest blowhard in the room. No wonder he and Newt have so much in common.
