I don’t know how many have ever personally debated? A debate is not about truth. It is about presentation. In a college debate you are given your subject and told what side you are going to take. You could be personally against the pro-life or pro-choice side of the argument - it doesn’t make any difference (you have to argue the merits of the position that you are given).

I can understand why some of these candidates do not want to participate in the Trump debate. Newt and Rick are quick on their feet - they have silver tongues. Especially Newt has the intelligence and experience to do a commanding performance. Trump will pull in a wide audience and nobody wants to look too bad to the electorate.

Just keep in mind that winning a debate is not about truth. It also does not mean that the winner will be the best president.

Well, Newt could debate the other Newt. That would be entertaining.

Does your own remark include yourself seeing that you are posting in this thread as well?

As far as Santorum, we already know what he is made of, hes just another elitist militant warmonger who loves the patriot act, and if elected he will print more money ... Just like all the rest. That sounds about right ...

Exactly, just like the rest of the candidates (excepting Dr. Paul) ... Just like Bush before them ...

I still cant understand why so many people don't realize the bipartisan policies that control both parties and the very real and disastrous effects those policies are having on our nation.

All the other stuff that makes them different is practically irrelevant at this time.
