Newt Gingrich's suggestion that he would appoint John Bolton as Secretary of State should have alarmed everyone. Bolton was part of the NeoCon group in the BUsh administration. It signals that like Bush, Gingrich would be a Middle East War Hawk.

Have we not had enough of NeoCons?

That is not as bad as Romney's "team", which has even more neocons on board.

Further proof these puppets work for defense contractors and lobbyists.

It's easy to label people, but nobody knows how Gingrich would actually perform. Many bought into Obama's rhetoric, but he's proven to be a much less than capable president that has failed on every believable scale - unless you are a Democrat who chooses to ignore the facts.

I'm not a Republican. I won't be voting for Newt.

What we really need in this country is a third party that represents the 70% of the US public that is actually somewhere in the middle politically. The extreme left and the extreme right don't represent many here.

No more neo-cons. Nor neo-libs.

Gingrich is proposing some new guest worker program in spite of the fact that millions of Americans are unemployed and becoming homeless, and he's too cute with his amnesty for illegals if they've broken the laws of this country for more years than others have.

He simply will not address the issues but does a nice job skirting them.

I'm far less concerned with Bolton than I am with Newt. I will gladly agree that Newt is a full blown NeoCon.

I literally do not know one Republican who would vote for him. Most feel that he is just a scumbag. So who are these people polling?

My guess is those that believe supporting their party is more important than preserving their nation. The same could be said of those that still support Obama.

The media and the other powers-that-be seem to be ramming him down our throats.

Newt will not change much of anything. He isn't going to do anything about globalism and the real reasons jobs are gone. He isn't going to help the Social Security system by promising legal status to elderly illegals so that they can go in and apply for their nice social security checks in spite of never being here legally or respecting any laws -- and that's what the amnesty for the elderly illegals is all about, Mexico doesn't want them coming home so it can support them, and Gingrich is trying to get them legal status just in time for their cushy US retirement.

Newt said that? Oh dear lord.

We'd be invading Iran within days.
