It is an often overlooked aspect of Gingrich’s history that he was a leading advocate of the disastrous Iraq War

As for Gingrich’s suggestion of Bolton for Secretary of State, it is met with derision and horror from foreign policy experts and State Department veterans. “[Gingrich] wants to take the country back on foreign policy that even George W. Bush had some sense to reject towards the end of his second term in office,” says Brian Katulis, an expert on national security at the Center for American Progress. “Trumpeting John Bolton as a diplomatic brand worth selling is kind of like the Ford Motor Company trying to revive the Pinto.”

If Newt becomes president, we will have 'boots on the ground' in Iran within a year of him taking office.

I don't think this is hyperbole. I think you are exactly right. Newt will not be able to resist this war. He likes "big ideas" -- and it's very tempting for presidents to launch wars. Being a wartime president is an easier gig in a lot of ways than being a peacetime one. People rally around you and give you a pass when you run ripshod over inconveniences like civil liberties.

We have to deal with Iran. War is not the way to go though. We didn't launch a war in 1979, and we don't need to launch one now. We need a "subtle" approach. I trust both Obama and I guess, begrudingly Romney, to handle Iran with a bit more care and sophistication than bubblehead.

Comparing former US diplomat to a Muslim terrorist leader is dispicable in my book. Yet another example of the rabid style that currently inhabits far-left politics.

It's pretty bad if you're a Christian or other minority in Iraq.

If Col. Wilkerson is far-left, I can only imagine who inhabits the center in your version of the world.
