Matthew 5:9
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Matthew 26:52

Then Jesus said to him, "Put your sword back into its place; for all those who take up the sword shall perish by the sword."

If peacemakers are the children of God, then what does that make the warmongers, hmmm ... ? Ron Paul, because of his love of peace and work to keep it and make it, is one of the children of God according to Christ, what about your candidate? Is your candidate a peacemaker, or a warmonger?

I was disappointed that the debate moderators never asked the obvious follow-up question to the "Iran threat" questions - considering the size of the national debt, how would they intend to pay for a large military action against Iran?

The Iraq War has cost well over a trillion dollars so far... and Iran is several times the size of Iraq. Will the candidates just fire up the printing presses? Will they borrow more money from overseas?

Many of them seem to be living in a fantasy realm in which the US still has trillions of dollars to burn on wars of choice.

Yes, i wish Dr. Paul had thought to ask the other candidates that question ... I would have loved to watch them squirm to come up with an acceptable answer.

Those scriptures plus these came to mind when GDumbya was play acting at the start of the run up to Iraq..He played the part Rove wrote for him and many were deceived into believing him.

Matthew 7:15-16
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?

I wonder how many people are lining up outside the nearest Armed Forces office to go fight in Iran?

If you are older and can't join, do you want to send your children over to Iran?

Or do you want to sit back and have someone else put their behind on the line for you?

Really not hard for a commander in chief to start/continue
an unjust war ....look at Kennedy, LBJ, Nixon, Clinton,
Bush Sr/Jr, Obama.

A leader is one with insight, fortitude, and rationale.
All traits Paul possesses. It takes strength for a leader
to go against the tribal drums of war (of which is all
too easy).

Excellent point, Kick. If you support the war with Iran, are you going to fight it? If not, then shut up. It's very easy to send others to war for whimsical reasons. When you're going to go to war yourself, you are little more discriminating on what constitutes a good reason.

If you ask me, Dr. Paul is the only candidate for GOP that is a true American and statesman, and he is the only candidate running because he wants to restore America back to the people. All the other candidates are career Politicians who just want power and to be the boss man and get to be the next elitist dictator to sell out Americans and this nation for their own personal profit.

I am watching Freedom Watch and there is a retired Army Col. (Douglas McGregor) talking about how our foreign policy is destroying us and pissing people off...

But what does he know, he only served over 20 years in the Military
