OK I lean towards Ron Paul -that's my bias.

Perry in the course of one month- has gotten the election date wrong, the voting age wrong- he forgot the names of the Major Federal Agencies and the US Supreme Court. Texans have elected this moron several times. I voted for Kay Bailey Hutchison in the GOP Primary and then Bill White in the election. In Texas he got away with declining to debate in the Gubernatorial Election.

This is a huge embarrassment- even that Obama in 4 years of campaigning has not made as many gaffes as Perry in one month. Perry continues his campaign even though there is absolutely no chance he will get nominated.

No. And, as a Texan, you shouldn't be starting a thread like this. There are a lot of people on here who like to pick on us and this sort of thing will only make it worse.

Remember, he didn't used to be such a loon.

Also, in 2006 he was elected by a plurality (not a majority) and last year I think he was elected as the lesser of two evils in a year that was good for Republicans and not so good for Democrats in general. Remember how KBH basically gave up on her campaign? Of course she didn't end up doing very well in the primary. (I should point out that I, like you, voted for KBH in the primary but, when she chose to give up, do you really think she had a shot?) This combined with the fact that there was a tea party candidate who was able to take the rest of the "not Perry" allowed him to sweak by and barely win the Republican primary.

You don't have to be born in Texas to be a Texan ... Just like you dont have to be born in America to be an American. The man represents Texas in congress(14th congressional district), i think that qualifies him as a Texan.

But Ron Paul was not raised in Texas and received no education in the state of Texas. Moreover, being in Congress for 30 years, he has spent a significant amount of time away from Texas since becoming a resident there. I wouldnt really classifiy Paul as an authentic Texan Note: I don't think Texans are dumb.

I doubt that nothing is more dumb than attacking a possible ally in a public forum.

There are stupid people in every state and every country. You might as well ask, "Is Rick Perry proof that white people are dumb?" or ". . . that men are dumb?" or ". . . that Americans are dumb?"

Only an idiot looking for a fight would start such an obviously inflammatory thread.

HAHAHA!

The difference here is that AMERICA will never elect Perry to anything but Texas elected him 4-5 times.
