I know that political predictions are hard to accurately predict, but as of right now I feel like Obama will win another term. The House and the Senate will both be up for grabs. If I had to guess I would say that the GOP keeps the House with a lot smaller majority and they will probably win a majority in the Senate by a few seats.
The question then is what happens next? Can Obama and the GOP spend the next few years after that working together to solve some problems or will the GOP still just maintain their anti-Obama agenda?

No. There will be no "solving of problems". It is not a matter of "if" implosion of our economy and currency will happen but how much longer will the IMF/FED & ECB be able to limit the contagen. Another 4 years of Obama guarantees the "Fall of the Republic" via his radical leftist SCOTUS nominations alone.
It really is that simple. All indications are the sheeple are lining up at the doors of the slaughterhouse waiting for the global banks to finish the shearing first.
If the dems can throw most if not all of the tea party goons out on the curb, I think there will be a small chance things could get better and the R's might come back into reality after realizing that the american people have had it with their ultra-right-or-nothing ways. Though I don't think we will ever start to see any real progress unless the dems can get complete filibuster proof control of congress.

They will never be able to work together because they are going in opposite directions. The two parties plans for our country are not even close, so there can be no compromise.

Yes, Obama's finished. He's only out raising the entire Republican field and leading Gingrich and Romney in the polls.

THey have their own facts. They think Obama will lose all 50 states and that the party will cease to exist next year--that is if we have elections!
Personally, I think it'll be very close, but Obama will likely win. Romney isn't popular enough with the base and Gingrich isn't popular with the general public. I don't really see how it's going to happen, but then it's a year away. My biggest hope though is that the tea party is voted into irrelevance and we get some sane Republicans and Democrats in charge of Washington again.

The sad part is that they can't even see how they are so blinded by hatred that they can't even make logical arguments to make their case.
The reason that the GOP is in its current state of decline is because the anti-Obama crowd were so willing to hop on ANY and EVER anti-Obama bandwagon (birther, Tea Party, Muslim, etc) regardless of the claims that were being made. So now the GOP field for presidential candidates looks like the Island of Misfit Toys.

If the tea party loses the GOP a few more seats that they should have won, I think the GOP establishment will be the group that takes the tea party to the woodshed.
