I think criticizing Gingrich is like poking a dead cat with a stick at this point. But he keeps earning the jabs by reminding everyone what an a**-hole he really is.
A gay professor from William Penn College told the Des Moines Register he approached Newt at a rally and asked him how gay people can possibly support Gingrich's candidacy, given Newt's view on gay rights. The man said Newt replied: "Go support Obama"
So far, we only have the professor's account of the incident, and he admitted to the paper he's a Dem. But assuming it's true, it sounds like vintage Gingrich.
Gingrich may not care, but there ARE gay GOP voters across the country who are strong fiscal conservatives, and, dare I say, solid Christian "family values" types, who vote Republican in every election (one of them is a relative of mine).
And here's Newt telling these good Republicans to shove their votes, he doesn't want them!
Newt Gingrich is the reputed founder of the modern-day divisiveness that is part of our political lives now. This story illustrates why that is so.

he was replying to ONE person who asked him a question....that does NOT mean that he applied that to all gays. he said it to a specific question from a gay voter and Newt basically said...if that is what you are looking for, then I suggest you vote for Obama...because you won't get that with me.
End of story...regardless of how much you *******s want to stretch the truth. But hell....thanks for giving it a good old college try. ..but..FAIL
Oh please enlighten the rest of us on what qualifies as "real religious beliefs" according to you. trlhiker, oh holy one. And while you're at it, can you pls let us know if you are the one we all need to go through to get validation on our own religious beliefs and whether they are still valid based on the sins we've commited....as judged by you?
Side question. In your world, how many is "several"? In mine, it is not two.
Get over yourself, you obviously been smoking something strong to get that crap out of my post.
