I suppose the Republican presidential primary race is as good of a case for or against trickle down economics as it gets.

Rich folks, and everyday Ron Paul supporters, are throwing tons of money at states like Iowa and New Hampshire.

Any news from the front on how the money influx is putting Iowans and New Hampshire residents back to work?

I suppose the democrats handling of the economy is as good a case of liberal incompetence as it could get.
Why not lead a discussion concerning Obama and the Democrats record of throwing out tons of tax money in the form of stimulus payments, and how this has kick started the economy?

oh, wait.
I'm sorry.
You have nothing to talk about.
next.

I'm simply asking a question. If there are reports from the front of incredible economic growth from the trickle downers making it rain on Iowa, I may feel better about economic trickle down theory.

I'd easily settle for Mitt donning a Secret Santa outfit and spending 10,000 dollars paying off kmart and Walmart layaways.

If they're spending it all on media it has limited impact.

Default answer a question with another:

what does one have to do with the other?
democrats are very fond of urinating down the taxpayers backs while telling them it's just a rain front moving through.

what is to prevent one of the learjet liberal democrats in congress from paying the layaways? What does Nut-cracker Pelosi do with all her profits from insider trading scams? What does red-nosed Rudolf Kerry-Heinz do with his extra millions that people have left on the plate next to their fries?

Well, it would be nice if these rich republicans would walk into a Kmart and start paying off the layaways, rather than spending all their money to buy advertising time and space from tv and newspapers owned by other rich folks.

I'd have to say it will do the reverse of 'create jobs.' Most of the money in campaigns is in essence a speculative investment. The donors put up money hoping that their guy will win. Then if their guy wins, they expect to be paid back, via pulling some lever of power that will yield them even more money than the amount donated. Invariably this means either tax dollars directed their way (e.g. Solyndra) or regulation that will benefit them, and likely hurt somebody else(e.g. incandescent bulbs banned). Taxes and regulations--both destroyers of jobs.
