However looking from a purely government enabled perspective there are many reasons to re-elect him. The United States is slipping closer and closer to Socialism and soon we will have no way back. Its just around the corner and yet because of years of government enablement most refuse to see it.

This election year we cannot sit at home again like in 2008. Doing so is to give up on the Republic and I will not be a part of that. America can be GREAT again but only when we have a LEADER who believes in American Exceptionalism, not one who apologizes to the world and blames America for all its ills.

Normally I would agree but since Bush Jr. this Country does owe an apology to many and that isn't even counting what the Bank Investors did not only to Americans but the world. This Country F..u...c...k...e...d up big time and it started before Obama became President. Just my humble opinion.

Lets not say America is to blame for all the worlds problems. We aren't. European banking systems, Japanese monetary policy, lax lending policies by the very banks we vilify are to blame and then some. China's Yuan is also a problem but we don't want to talk about that because we can get all those widescreen televisions from Wally World for less than $500.00

Lets not delude ourselves that America is the only one to blame. We aren't.
Now if we are to believe our own government then yes we are. I for one am not an apologist for America when we have spent billions on nation building for years. This is the first administration who actually seems to be anti American and that's not a good thing, for any of us. We better wake up or its gonna get very bad very soon.

I will second the view that the stimulus probably averted a full blown depression. This housing overhang was one of the stupidest experiments in the history of the Republic, far worse than the stock market crash of the 20s, because housing hits larger swaths of the country, and the lost wealth was simply incredible. That some scumbags have already pocketed those bogus gains and sent us the bill is also unprecendented. Things could be far worse than they are.

People who try to blame Obama for this economy are disingenuous in the extreme. He had nothing to do with it, and I really don't see how anyone could have done any better. Especially with the congress trying to undermine him most of the time, claiming that the stimulus was a socialist takeover and getting all the fiscal religion. He has seemed pretty calm and sensible throughout this whole period.

To be honest, none of the Republican candidates are in his league.

Let's be honest here. Bush 1, Clinton, Bush 2, and Obama owe this country a giant apology collectively. We haven't had anything resembling actual leadership for decades.

The Bushes and their wars, Clinton and his sellout to the Chinese, Obama and his trillions spent on a phony "stimulus package" will likely go down as one of the great political failures of all time. Adding trillions in additional debt during a time of hardship is idiotic at best.... and probably criminal.

Unfortunately, we will get just another puppet in the White House this round... be it Obama or somebody else. Anybody that believes we will have anything resembling a WIN in 2012 is living in a dream world.

If you mean little league I would agree with you!
Do you know how much each job created since Obama became President has cost the American taxpayer?
Once you can answer this question and come to grips with the facts of this administrations addiction to big government programs at the expense of the middle class get back to me.

By the way the housing crisis was the direct result of government involvement in Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae in guaranteeing loans to unqualified low income people for purely political reasons. Once that started the floodgates opened.
Ever heard the old saying, and its been a good one for many years, "its close enough for government work"? Everyone knows the government cannot run a business so why are they trying it to the extreme now? Ask yourself that question.

I agree with you to a certain extent. However I want my puppet to at least appear to love America. Obama clearly does not.

Default Why should I vote for Obama?

Exactly. But that would mean one would actually have to care about things outside the spoon-fed wingnut universe.... you know, things like "education", and "knowledge", and "achievement", and (horrors!) the "mainstream"... instead of simply dismissing everything that doesn't fit into their little prejudices, as being part of the "elites"!

Oh, and that anyone would even consider handing this country back over to the same bunch of "morans" (that's tea bagger spelling!) who got us into this mess, is prima facie evidence of insanity!

So aside from the fact he's simply been a good & competent manager (for a change), it brings up the best reason to vote for Obama. Which is just look at the kinda folks who are against him... the "birthers", illiterate tea baggers, "he's not one of us" racists & xenophobes, the conspiracy nuts, the "communist! socialist" hysterics, etc.! So yeah, let's be honest here, do Obama's opponents really bring to mind the expression "this country's best and brightest"?!!!

This post is exactly what is going to cost Obama his re-election bid, so please keep it up, and remember to hold those signs high when you are at your OWS rallies. Man this stuff is precious!

Good luck though. Obama is OUT in 2012 so you may as well get use to it.
