if anything is clear after tonight, it's that Romney/Santorum do not have enough independent votes to win the general election.

People, this is all good news for Romney. He got his wish in Iowa, a split of the evangelical/conservative vote.

He really doesn't want to go head to head with a viable conservative candidate. Having 2, 3 or 4 of them in the race is much better.

How do you know what they've done with their lives? I thought "family" was supposed to be off limits according to the leftists?

If you think that tactic will work as a campaign strategy, go right ahead.

Link to the Iowa results of 2008...... so you can compare with these results . Looks like Romney getting about the same number of votes, Paul getting about 150% more votes than last time. And Santorum not coming close to the number of votes Huckabee got (since they probably had a lot of the same voters). And Gingrich getting like just as many votes as McCain got in Iowa.

romney cant even win 25 percent and will draw/lose to a candidate who would get obliterated in the general vs. obama.

romney has 3 major blocks.

1. hes mitt romney, and people get tired of 2 face.
2. hes not a conservative, and conservatives wont vote for him, tonight proves it and major conservative sites blocking his supporters prove that.
3. hes mitt romney.

Now, HOW in the world do you come by that brilliant analysis?

The Iowa caucuses are not indicative of anything, really. Remember, these voters are normally what you would call the base, as are primaries in general.

Last poll I saw, Romney was cleaning up Indies on obama, who has been bleeding them for over a year.
