That's what we call payback. Santorum endorsed Romney in 08 and it hurt McCain. Now McCain gets a little revenge.

This might actually be an endorsement that matters just a little bit. Hard to say.

It could help in certain states in the general election and they really like McCain in NH which Romney already has a good lead in, but they also like McCain a lot in South Carolina. It's a big military state. If McCain appears with Mitt in South Carolina, it will be an asset. Also, in Fla. where McCain was well respected.

McCain's endorsement will help Santorum. Santorum is trying to make the case to the GOP base that Romney is 2012's John McCain. Now with McCain endorsing Romney, making that case to conservatives will be pretty easy.
