Obama will be President until 2017, wrap your head around that now and maybe you will be able to deal with the next fours better than you have for the last four.
Absolutely!

Hopefully, once Obama is voted back into office, the Republican party will put it's house in order, give up on the self destructive party politics that has led to Congress having a lower approval rating than even Chavez.
They have the Lowest approval rating ever and for good reason.
Take the next few years Republicans to find out what middle Americans are about and maybe you can then understand what is really needed today in America.
The Votes for Ron Paul should now be your wake up call............ This is your own party members telling you that they are unhappy with what you have to offer. Of course you could always just ignore the 'death rattle" in the Republican party and let it die a painful death............. Your Choice Republicans!
I hope so too. I'm all for a non-fragmented and strong voice of what's opposite to my opinion. Lately, the GOP has offered none of this.

Republicans, you are going to nominate a person who strapped a dog onto a roof for 12 hours. Some may call it cruel, but I see it mostly as a lack of empathy.

Empathy is something you definitely have to lack when you run businesses the way Romney does.

Well Said!

Many on here feel that if you disagree with another party then you are either a "Sociaist" ( The rights new boogeyman word) or unpatriotic.
It is healthy to see opposing views and to spur on discussions and arguments but unfortunately to the Present GOP....... it's "their way or the highway".
I came to America a independent and after seeing how awful the "doctrine" of the Republican party is and how they find it impossible to negotiate with anyone, i now support the Democrats.
The Republican party MUST move forward and NOT think that their "messiah" Reagan. is going to have a second coming... BTW..... Reagan didn't have a Country in it's worst recession ever to deal with when he took office.
Both a administration and a opposing party have important roles to play in the well being of any Country but NOT if the opposing party is forever objecting to every decision that the adminstration makes in their unquenchable thirst for POWER.

So when are you going to address the extremism that has gripped the Democrat party for the past decade? There are NO conservative Democrats left, and only a handful of Blue Dogs.

Your party is a fringe party of liberal extremists that is essentially a regional party limited to large urban centers, the northeast, and the West Coast.

I'd say the Democrat party has far bigger problems than the Republican party does in terms of extremism.

I disagree.

I think both parties - Republican and Democratic (please note: Democrats are members of the Democratic Party, just as Jews are of the Jewish religion - not 'the Jew' religion) - are fairly mainstream with a few notable exceptions like Rick Santorum who is a flaming anti-gay bigot and extremist.

It is clear that you are using the word "extremist" a lot, noting that only liberals can be extremists and not conservatives? A regional party? Which states voted for Obama in 2008? Which states have no Democratic congressmen or senators or state representatives?

Okay, you are set in your ways and have your beliefs and there is no way any of us can argue with you.

I am only refuting a ridiculous and bogus comment.

Paul is insane enough to kill his chances. Despite of spending decades as a republicans, it is clear he doesn't think but maintains an ideology that republicanism is what he represents. This thinking of his is right along the lines he proposes to run the country with.

It is why he remains a... useful idiot to the republican party.
