Looks like Americans are finally waking up to what has happened to this country.
'GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul received what his campaign described as a '“game changing” endorsement Sunday, as influential South Carolina State Senator Tom Davis, officially gave his support to Paul.
The Senator, a heavyweight fiscal conservative in the South Carolina General Assembly, is extremely well regarded amongst Republicans and Tea Party activists and will undoubtedly bring voters to Ron Paul’s campaign ahead of the “First in the South” primary.'
We already have a thread on this, a STATE Senator is not a game changer.
Thank you. Endorsements on the whole really don't effect how people vote, let alone a state senator endorsement. For all the Paul supporters (or anyone for that matter), if Davis endorsed Santorum would you hop aboard the Santorum bandwagon just because Tom Davis did?

You will never convince people of this, except for those of us who have watched politics long enough to know it is rare an endorsement does anything for a candidate. This means nothing and I doubt Paul is really surging like the OP claims. I love the word game changing, what has it changed? ANd I love the soon to be overused word "surging" everyday we see a new thread entitled "surging" It doesn't matter who the candidate is, they seem to all surge one time or another. If they come up 2 points in the polls, they are surging..
He hasn't campaigned in the Upstate in weeks. Didn't bother to campaign in the state at all for days after the NH primary. I don't think he's trying too hard here. Surging, that's hilarious. It appears to be a Ron Paul fan's favorite word.

For not trying so hard, he sure seems to be getting a lot of support.
Oopsy, 3 more state senators follow suit. Still doesn't count? Sounds a lot like Iowa. Doesn't count if Paul wins, counts if he doesn't.
I think you misunderstand what other posters are saying. It isn't about whether it counts, it is whether is matters. If Romney takes SC by a large margin as he appears about to then these endorsements weren't a game changer at all.

What I am saying is that it's a domino effect. It will be seen as much safer politically to be aligned with Paul. These endorsements may allow others to bandwagon and not fear retribution from progressive RINO neo-cons.
