You can't claim to be a conservative candidate and then be the only one of the current GOP field that doesn't attend conservative events such as this:

Personhood USA

Love this quote at the end of the article:

Quote:
Dude is Barack Obama in a Reagan Costume.

Since when was Romney a conservative? That might be the problem right there.

The "Personhood" initiative supporters want to enact legislation that would outlaw virtually all abortions and interfere with the right to certain forms of birth control as well as in vitro fertilization.

The VAST majority of Americans do not agree with the "Personhood" initiative.

Good for Romney!

I agree, this is the kind of extremism that most Americans, even pro-life Americans do not support. Remember the legislation that even got voted down in Mississippi recently?

I would argue the vast majority of American's would be clueless if you mention the topic of Personhood so I think it is incorrect to make any conclusion on where people are at on this as a whole.

Fact remains, Romney (again) is on the outside looking in. He is not the conservative candidate he tries to portray himself to be. He's not ,so he should be honest and not pretend to be otherwise.

So four out of the five GOP candiates are extermists? If you think that, you are in the wrong party IMO...or...hummm.....maybe your candidate doesn't really belong?

Agreeing with this is not a measure of being conservative. It's a measure of being an extremist. People need to be aware of what these people are attempting to do, because it is dangerous.

Even the governor of Mississippi didn't agree with this. There are implications that far exceed the surface of this thought process.

^ I'll admit I haven't look really hard into this issue, but dont' you agree it is somewhat telling that your guy is the only one not involved? Morever, if he's on the right (ie..correct side) side of this issue, why isnt' he talking about it? Wouldnt' that be the perfect opportunity to differentiate himself from the pack and win the nomination?

People with strong convictions, speak out on those convictions. That is how we can begin the process of trusting them (even though we may not agree with them) People who are just trying to get elected (ie...main knock against Romney) only campaign to get elected. How do we trust such a person??? How do YOU trust such a person??
