Mitt Romney, in the debate, just said Pres. Obama is taking away the rights of American citizens. This followed his claim that the President has chosen to make America a Socialist state. Where was Mitt when the last Pres. Bush was in office, and launched an attack on our freedom? I suspect Mitt has been medicated for the debate, and is not in control of his faculties.
Why do they continue to evoke Reagan? Reagan increased taxes how many times during his Presidency? Reagan with the stroke of a pen gave 5 million illegals amnesty. What exactly did I miss.

Republicans have been accusing a president making America a socialist state ever since at least 1964 when President Johnson passed Medicare or "Mediscare" as some Republicans call it. Other people would tell you it started back when President Roosevelt started Social Security during the 1930s. Do the majority of Americans demand that these programs be abolished? I don't think so.

Social Security and Medicare are not entitlement programs as much as some try to make them. They are programs that people pay into or they don't qualify for them. You work and contribute to those programs.

Take out Mitt and replace with GOP candidates and your statement is still true.
I was told once that your character is what we see when you face challenges, and I grow weary thinking that the contenders for the GOP candidacy show so little strength of character. Then again, I believe in electing the candidate most qualified to execute the responsibilities of the office. I have seen nothing to that effect from any of them. They all seem viable candidates for mud-wrestling in some low-end tavern.
I would like to see someone that does not apologize for their ethical choices, that acts for the long-term good of the American people now, and in their future generations. In short, I support President Obama because I think his character stands in the midst of the attacks of the mad dogs of the GOP and their paid-for press and lobbyists.
The only rights President Obama has taken away from the American people is the right to gain benefits from Medicaid without paying in the form of providing their own health care insurance. Presidents since FDR have tried it, knowing the growing cost of health care would eventually break us, unless the American people have to take some responsibility for their own care.
Yeah, didn't obama sign a law that allows him to hold indefinitely an American citizen?
.... and American citizens can be targeted for assassination "Jason Bourne style" without due process or a trial.
