Romney did get Charleston and Columbia to no avail.
And Romney barely won Charleston County at that. I think Beaufort County had the largest win for Romney and then Richland County. He really did take a beating in the SC primary.
I have a second home in NC and I see more Baptists and crosses in yards than I have seen anywhere in SC. You need to look around. You have more Baptists there than ants. Repent signs all over the place. There is no difference between the upstate of SC and NC.
You cannot be serious. There is no place like Asheville in SC, there is no place like Raleigh or Durham in SC, and while some of the Suburbs of Charlotte are in SC there is no city like Charlotte in SC. On the flip side there is no place like Charleston in NC. Sure if your comparing somewhere like Richmond county to Marlboro county then there is not much difference but it is insane to suggest there is no difference between the two. NC and SC are as different as West Virginia and Virginia.

Apparently you are not old enough to know better. I have been all over NC and SC. I know what I am talking about. I am dead serious. Outside of the cities they are the same. Western NC probably more religious.

I have been outside the cities. My job covered 6 predomently rural counties in the sandhills area. I know what you are talking about, but I still think you are crazy. The fact is the vast majority of North Carolinians live in the cities and suburbs with Charlotte being the biggest. With that said the largest city in South Carolina is less then 130,000. That is about the population of Cary which means Greensboro, Raleigh, Charlotte, Durham, Winston Salem, and Fayetteville are all substantially larger then anything in SC. While it is true NC has a lot more people then SC, it is different because we have far more cities. As to western NC rural western NC is more religious, as is rural eastern NC, but Asheville certainly would not be considered "more religious." Also western NC is not a good gauge of the state because despite the fact that almost 1/4 North Carolinians are Black almost none of them live in Western NC so you are not seeing that entire segment of the NC population if you are using Western NC as your basis for what NC is like.
I'm religious, conservative and middle-aged. Hell, I voted for ALMOST every name on that list, and they ALL bent me over. I'm tired of the lesser of 2 evils, I've been scammed for the last time. Ron Paul or nothing, this Kabuki theater between Demoncraps and Republitards has sold me it's LAST ticket.

Maybe you should get to the cities sometime.
Not sure of where you're getting your numbers from on city size of South Carolina cities, but it's inaccurate. Shoot, Charleston metro has over 600K. Unless you're talking about the formal downtown?

Charleston metro has over 600K Charleston proper has about 120K. If we are using metro areas then shoot Raleigh Durham has close to 1.8 million and Charlotte has about 1.8 million (some of whom are in SC). Metro areas are massive and include counties that are way far away from the cities themselves.
