You put your dogs in a car. Mitt strapped his to the roof of his car !
But the dog was in some type of carrier. He didn't
literally strap the dog to the car roof.
I'm just saying the argument about "wind blowing
in the face of a dog at 65 mph being cruel -
I'm saying some dogs (mine included) love that
sorta thing.
when a dog puts his head out the window at 65 MPH they don't keep it out there for a full 12 hours, nor do dogs in the back of a pick up truck for 12 hours, stand with their head in the wind for the entire trip.
mitt is thoughtless to say the least. I hope it does cost him votes, it is a stupid thing to do.
Please talk to your veterinarian. If you don't think so or don't know, high velocity winds on the roof of the car are inexcapable. A dog inside of a car can put their head back in and won't keep it there for anywhere close to 12 hours straight. Mitt subjecting his dogs to torture for 12 hours.
Some people may like roller coasters, would it still be as much fun if you were on one for 12 hours against your will and it would not stop ?

Seriously, was this an open carrier of which I've never heard of.... I'm going to have
to look up exactly what type of carrier was used
before I can comment any further

You obviously have chosen to ignore the fact that there was a windshield in front of the carrier, and that the carrier itself wouldn't allow 60 MPH winds to blow THROUGH it.
What's the difference between a dog carrier and a pickup truck bed?
I don't even like Mitt Romney, but this stuff is ridiculous.
The difference is the pick-up truck bed is protected by the cab. What Romney's Irish Setter endured was the equivalent of riding in a carrier on top of the cab of the truck on the highway up to Canada for 12 hours. Tell me you wouldn't be scared shi#less like his poor dog obviously was.
Go spew your self-righteous garbage at someone you can intimidate. I've had dogs all my life, and the wind in the back of a truck is no greater than the wind on the top of a station wagon. In fact, since the dog was in a veterinarian-approved carrier WITH a windshield, it is likely that the dog didn't have to deal with wind at all.
No Zona. You are talking apples and oranges. This wasn't the back of the truck. This was ON TOP OF A STATION WAGON while the expensive luggage was stored safely inside the car ....WHERE THE DOG SHOULD HAVE BEEN while the luggage was tied to the top of the car.
See how Romney prioritizes things? Would you treat your luggage better than your dog?
